I want Hearts to make tough choices on me in Livingston loan spell, says ace
Macaulay Tait knows it's up to him to impress on a season-long loan and says that can benefit the Lions On-loan Hearts kid Macaulay Tait wants to make it as difficult as possible for the Edinburgh giants to leave him at Livingston for the season – and says everybody benefits from that. The 19-year-old is on a second loan spell from Tynecastle, and jumped at the chance to rejoin David Martindale's side in the Premiership, having helped get them there in the first place. On Sunday, Tait hopes to tackle Edinburgh rivals Hibs in the Premier Sports Cup for the first time in his career, and says games like that are part of the draw the Almondvale club holds for him, with a trip to Celtic Park looming next week. Tait reckons it's a good fit for him at Livingston, and that means all three parties will benefit. 'I'm loving it,' said Tait. 'Just playing football is exactly what I needed, so to do it, and to do it in the top flight, has been amazing. I'm just thankful for the opportunities. 'I was a Jambo growing up, and the loan means I won't be able to play against Hearts this season. 'I think they have an option to bring me back in January, so it's up to me to make it as difficult a decision for Hearts as possible. 'Come here and do as well as I can, and that benefits all three parties, so that's all I'm focusing on, just now. 'Hopefully you keep making Hearts make decisions for you, so we'll wait and see what they say.' Tait admits the chance to lock horns with teams like Hibs and Celtic was a major draw for him at Livingston, and is absorbing as much as he can from experienced players around him. He added: 'It's obviously different [coming up against Hibs] but I think that's why coming back to Livi made a lot of sense, because I'd be getting to play against the same teams as I would for Hearts. 'I've never played against Hibs, so it will be nice to do that. 'It's Celtic the week after, and it's a brilliant opportunity to go and play in the biggest stadiums in the country, against the biggest teams, so I'm really looking forward to that. 'We have a good team, so we can hopefully put up a good fight. 'It's a brilliant changing room, they players have been brilliant with me, and I love working with every single one of them. They've taken me under their wing and helped me a lot. 'They're an experienced group, they've all played at the highest level, so you listen to them, and take all the advice they give you on board.' Tait played 15 times for Livi last season, helping them to win the SPFL Trust Trophy and gain promotion back to the Premiership via a play-off win over Ross County. He has already got off the mark this season, scoring in a 2-1 Premier Sports Cup group stages win over East Fife, and says the decision to head back to West Lothian was instant. 'It was a pretty easy decision, to be fair,' said Tait. 'I look at the midfield at Hearts and it's pretty stacked just now, and there was a good chance it was going to get increased. 'There was no point in wasting what I did last year at Livi, so when the chance came to come back, it made perfect sense to go into a side in the top flight.'

Dhanda moves to Dundee on loan
Yan Dhanda is on the move. The 26-year-old has gone on loan to Hearts' William Hill Premiership rivals Dundee now managed by former Jambo, Steven Pressley. The attacking midfielder joined the Men in Maroon in summer 2024 from Ross County and has made 34 appearances, scoring two goals. The move to Dens Park is subject to Scottish Football Association approval, but Hearts have wished the player every success during his time on Tayside. McInnes confirms latest Hearts signing
Pierre Landry Kabore has scored 22 goals in 20 games for top Estonian side, J K Narva Trans, and now he's a Jambo. The protracted talks to sign the 24-year-old have ended with the Burkina Faso international securing a three-year deal at Gorgie. The fee has not been disclosed, but Derek McInnes (pictured in training by Nigel Duncan), Hearts' head coach, believes that he has captured a man who can add 'something different' to the Men in Maroon. McInnes told the club's website: 'It has obviously taken a bit longer than we would have liked to get Landry in, but he's here now. 'His stats over the past couple of seasons speak for themseves, so we're hoping he'll bring something a bit different to what we've currently got in our forward areas. 'He's a big, mobile guy and very adaptable in that he can play across the front.' McInnes admitted that Scotland will be a new culture for the player and he added: 'We'll show patience in getting him up to speed, but he's shown he can integrate quickly and we'll do everything we can to make Landry a success at Hearts.' How Hearts made Alexandros Kyziridis offer he couldn't refuse as he reveals wife ordered his Stirling celebration
Kyziridis covered his face to hail his goal against Stirling Albion – on his wife's orders Alexandros Kyziridis admits Hearts made him an offer he couldn't refuse. The Greek winger delivered a tantalising taste of the trickery and attacking threat he aims to showcase to Tynecastle fans with a goal and assist in the 4-0 win against Stirling on Saturday. And the 24-year-old says it was just the starting point for his ambitions after jumping at the chance to seal a transfer to the Jambos. He said: 'When you have one offer from such a huge club, you cannot say no. I like Scottish football and the fans celebrate every game. This was what I was thinking about before I said yes to sign for Hearts. 'It was a very easy decision. Before I came, I was watching the games so I could see how the fans are, how the team are so I knew my new team-mates before I came. 'It was hard to learn the names. But now I know everyone. I had a little bit of a problem with the accent, but now I think I'm good and at least I can understand everything.' Kyziridis has signed a three-year deal after his contract with Slovak side MFK Zemplin Michalovce expired and he revealed former Jambo Takis Fyssas provided a glowing reference on what to expect in Edinburgh. His front-foot, attacking style thrilled the Hearts fans at Forthbank and Kyziridis is eager to build on his bright start when Hearts host Dumbarton on Tuesday night. He added: 'My agent spoke with Takis and he said I have to go to Hearts. I trust him and decided to take his advice. 'I could have scored more against Stirling, but that is OK, that is football, sometimes it goes in, sometimes it doesn't. 'First of all, I'm happy because we won and we kept a clean sheet, so this is most important for our team. 'It was good to hear the fans reacting positively to me, it's very helpful. Kyziridis covered his face to hail his goal – on his wife's orders. He said: 'I had the feeling the day before the Stirling game I would score. 'I discussed with my wife what celebration should I do? She told me to do that celebration and because I scored, I will keep it.'
