It's over. We've made it to the end of the 2025 federal election campaign. In what can only be described as a national upset, an allegedly psychic crocodile failed to accurately predict the winner. James Colley looks back at the campaign in this week's instalment of Surviving the election with James Colley

Australia's federal election campaign is officially happening, and we've already been running down the checklist of media coverage prerequisites: overwrought visual metaphors, misleading charts and the culture wars can't help but pop up too. James Colley looks back at the first week of the campaign in this week's instalment of Surviving the Election with James Colley

A delulu week in politics with campaign mode imminent, but not before a corflute crisis
It's budget week, but before the Albanese government could get onto any of that, we had to work our way though an important election prerequisite: pointless corflute drama. James Colley relives the media preoccupation over a placard, and combs through the reactions to the budget as part of his series, Surviving the Election with James Colley
