White Castle is giving away free sliders. When and are there any locations in Florida?
Some Floridians will be able to skip the meal prep this Thursday and grab a free burger. White Castle is offering a complimentary original slider on May 15 to commemorate National Slider Day, with no purchase necessary to enjoy its "delicious steamed-grilled-on-a-bed-of-onions burger." "The introduction of the Slider in 1921 helped turn White Castle into a household name and launched the fast-food industry as we know it today," White Castle Vice President Jamie Richardson said in a press release. "We think a burger that has had so much influence in the food industry is worthy of its own special day, and what better way to celebrate than to thank our customers with a complimentary Slider," Richard continued. The restaurant chain started the giveaway celebration in 2015 in honor of its iconic mini-hamburgers, which Time magazine called "the most influential burger of all time." Here's how you can score some free sliders in Florida. Foodies won't have to buy anything to receive the free burger. White Castle customers can redeem the offer by using the code SLIDERDAY on the app. A coupon is also available on White Castle's website and social media. USA TODAY notes the fast food chain is also offering a new value-style deal, where customers can get six original sliders for $4. As of May 2025, only one White Castle is in Florida — located at 11595 Daryl Carter Parkway in Orlando. The fast-food chain returned to the state in 2021. White Castle officials have previously shared plans to expand further into Central Florida, according to ClickOrlando. It is still unknown when or where these new locations would be. 'The overwhelming reception we received in Central Florida when we opened in 2021 continues to connect us even closer to this great community. With that in mind, we are looking forward to opening new Castles. So prolific is the iconic slider that in 2014 Time magazine called it "the most influential burger of all time," according to White Castle.
