When Jamie Watson first met Jamie Lynn Spears, he had no idea who she was. He didn't know that she was the younger sister of pop star Britney Spears, nor did he recognise her as an actress from Nickelodeon's comedy series Zoey 101.

'I'm just a normal guy with a normal job. I did not know about the family,' he shared on TLC's documentary Jamie Lynn Spears: When the Lights Go Out in 2016. 'I didn't know she had a TV show. I didn't know anything about her.'

Fast forward four years, and the two married, recently celebrating their 11-year anniversary in March. So, who is Jamie Watson?

Jamie Watson is a businessman. He and Spears met in 2010 through a mutual friend and dated on and off, per People.
'I was an 18 year old single mum, when this guy came into my life, he made me laugh more than I ever had before, and his never changing consistency gave me stability for the first time in my life,' Spears shared on Instagram for their eighth anniversary in 2022. 'Maybe, it was just because he was 10 years older, and had already established a successful life for himself both personally and professionally, but nonetheless, I felt a sense of peace with him, and I think that's what being in love is supposed to feel like, just feeling at peace.'

While Spears was at the centre of the relationship, it was Maddie, Spears' daughter from a previous relationship, who ultimately drew Watson in.
'I knew I wanted to marry [Spears] when basically I had fallen in love with Maddie just as much as her,' he shared in the 2016 documentary Jamie Lynn Spears: When the Lights Go Out. 'And I couldn't not be a part of her or Maddie's life.'
