Fundraiser for SafeNet pits tutu wearing racers against each other for good cause
A race for everyone took place at Presque Isle on Sunday in an effort to benefit a local organization and a good cause.
Participants had the option to walk, run or stroll the Tutu Race.
The event was accessible to everyone as it's split between the option of a 2.2-mile or a 4.4-mile route.
Awards were given at the end for the top three placements in each group as well as for the best tutu.

Each year, a different organization is chosen to be represented, and this year's choice was SafeNet of Erie.
'We're just so honored to be a part of this amazing event. It does raise awareness for domestic violence,' said Meghan Baker, outreach coordinator for SafeNet of Erie. 'We offer our services 10% free, confidential and we support our community.'
'I think there's two pieces to it. So, we're encouraging more people to come out, it's fun, it's not a real competitive race, I think it's more about coming out, having fu,n but a lot of people come out to support our charity, which is SafeNet,' said Janina Lee, co-director of the Tutu Race.
SafeNet will be hosting their next event, a garden party, on June 27.
