Who will win the 78th annual Northern Michigan Open title? Cast your vote here!
CHEBOYGAN – The 78th Northern Michigan Open is almost here.
Starting this Saturday, the first round of Cheboygan's annual golf tournament will begin, while Sunday's championship flight should once again provide some great drama.

In last year's version of the tournament, Indian River's Jon Micoff defeated Cheboygan's Kyle Parsons in a playoff to claim a record fourth Open title.
As the 2025 Open nears, be sure to vote on who you think will win this year's championship flight.
The poll opens on Wednesday morning and closes at 11 p.m. on Friday.
Here's a look at some of the top Cheboygan-area contenders:
Jon Micoff – Captured Open titles in 2009, 2011, 2017 and 2024.
Kasey Hocquard – Won back-to-back Open titles in 2007 and 2008.
Kyle Parsons – The 2019 Open winner also finished runner-up at the 2024 Open.
Joe Kosanke – A three-time Open winner, Kosanke won titles in 1998, 2004 and 2010.
PJ Maybank III – The current Oklahoma Sooner finished third at the Open in 2021.
Justin Brandt – Became an Open winner at the 2016 event.
Fred Stacks – Competed in the championship flight during the 2024 Open.
