No. 1 Texas will be shorthanded against Texas A&M, according to the latest injury report
No. 1 Texas will be shorthanded against Texas A&M, according to the latest injury report Texas A&M (24-16, 8-10 SEC) is headed cross-town to Austin, Texas, to face No. 1 Texas this weekend, starting Friday night. Amid all the storylines surrounding Longhorns head coach Jim Schlossnagle, who departed College Station for Texas last summer just days after the Aggies fell to Tennessee in the College World Series Championship, the teams are focused on the games at hand. However, No. 1 Texas will be without several players, including starting Friday pitcher Jared Spencer, who will reportedly miss the remainder of the 2025 season due to injury. This is a tough blow for a Longhorns team that needs to excel on the mound to keep the Aggies' hot bats at bay. However, Spencer may not be the only key player out this weekend. Standout freshman outfielder Jonah Williams could also miss the series, as he is listed as questionable heading into Friday night. For the Aggies, pitchers Shane Sdao and Josh Stewart are both out for the season, while third baseman Gavin Grahovac is also out for the year, which isn't new news for Aggie fans. First baseman Blake Binderup has continued to stand out at the plate amid Gavin Kash's previous injury issues. Since Kash has been off the injury report, he has only been back in the lineup once for a brief appearance as the designated hitter. However, due to Binderup's impressive play, he has not regained his starting spot at first.
