Love Is Blind UK couple reveal they are expecting their first child and announce their happy news with a heartfelt rap song
Love Is Blind UK's Bobby and Jasmine Johnson have revealed they're expecting their first child together. And in a break from the traditional announcements, the couple opted to share their happy news by means of a rap song. The couple met on the Netflix show last year, where they became engaged before even meeting in person. Proving their love is stronger than ever, the pair took to Instagram on Monday to reveal they're taking their relationship to the next level, with Jasmine, 29, captioning her post with a sweet message about her unborn child. She penned: 'We've been keeping a secret. I've pictured your tiny face a thousand times. I've dreamt of this moment long before I knew how good life could get. Then I met your dad and the rest was written in love. Baby Johnson Coming Winter 2025!!' From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the Daily Mail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. The sweet announcement video began with a clip of the pair on the show discussing how they want to raise their future child, with mental health nurse Jasmine showing off her baby bump. The mum-to-be said in the clip: 'Ideally I would like to raise my children in a household where our foundation is 100. 'Because at the end of the day they're going to learn our dynamics.' It then cuts to Bobby, 33, and Jasmine tenderly embracing as he raps about their love and baby with heartfelt, personal lyrics. He rapped: 'I'm happy that you're here with me, Because you be beautiful and that be clear to see, I can feel the love each time you're near to me. 'They said we might not make it here, After such a crazy year, But we just took a leap of faith and dived in with no safety gear. I love it when you're next to me, Connecting intellectually, I was lost but now I'm found, well ever since you rescued me. 'We sit and talk on rainy days, Just debating baby names, But our minds keep changing day to day they never stay the same. I'm looking at your baby bump… I guess we'll have to wait until the day you come, To know if your our daughter or our baby son. 'I'll be happy either way! Tears of joy I wipe away, Ever since i found out I can't sleep and I've been wide awake.' Bobby's rap concluded with the lines: 'I hope I'll be a better dad, And give you what we never had!. Turn the pain to purpose, You don't have to hurt the way we have!' In February this year, Jasmine opened up about her heartache over the constant pregnancy speculation as they were trying to conceive. The first series of Love Is Blind UK aired in August 2024, with the couple leaving fans swooning as they fell head over heels for each other. Following the show, Jasmine revealed that the couple were 'planning to expand our family', noting she'd hoped to be pregnant by 'next year'. However, by February this year, Bobby and Jasmine were still trying to conceive, with Jasmine admitting to The Mirror how much pregnancy speculation affected them. She said: 'You know what I feel like it was a double edged sword being open an vulnerable on the aspect of trying to conceive because, obviously, the audience knew us and they saw us get married so, evidently we were gonna talk about trying to conceive, which was an exciting prospect at that point in time – and it still is. 'But, I was so naive coming into the trying to conceive journey thinking, "oh yeah we'll just have sex and I'll get pregnant tomorrow". That's not how the female anatomy works – we only have a few days in a month where we're actually ovulating. So trying to educate myself about that and kind of giving myself grace. I know my time is going to happen. It hasn't happened yet.' She went on: 'I'm not gonna say it hasn't effected me, it has. I've been quite cautious of my pictures on social media just incase someone is like, 'Oh you kind of look pregnant' where in reality I've just got a normal body, I love to eat, I'm in a very happy relationship – that's just what happens you know.'
