Air ambulance attends incident at Welsh secondary school
On Tuesday (June 3), residents spotted a Wales Air Ambulance helicopter land at Ysgol David Hughes in Menai Bridge. It is not known if the incident was at the school itself or somewhere nearby, with Wales Air Ambulance saying they had attended an incident "in that region". Wales Air Ambulance lands at the school. (Image: Jason Roberts) One crew was at the scene for just over an hour, with its involvement concluded by 7.30pm. A Wales Air Ambulance spokesperson said: "I can confirm the Wales Air Ambulance attended an incident in that region yesterday (03/06/25). "Our Caernarfon-based crew were allocated at 18:01 and arrived near the scene, via air, at 18:13. Our involvement concluded at 19:26." Ysgol David Hughes was approached for comment.

USACE Honolulu awards $495m MATOC to Conti Federal
Construction and design-build company Conti Federal Services has been selected for a $495m Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC) by the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Honolulu. This contract covers design-build and design-bid-build construction services across Hawaii. The MATOC will enable Conti Federal to offer rapid response capabilities, maintenance, major repair, and minor construction. The scope of work includes both vertical and horizontal construction tasks such as paving, shore protection, renovation of existing buildings, and new building construction. Projects under this MATOC are valued at $25m-$100m and are in support of USACE Honolulu's operations across Hawaii. Conti Federal Pacific regional business development director Jason Roberts said: 'Being named an awardee on this MATOC is a significant milestone as we continue to grow our presence in the Pacific region. 'It reflects USACE Honolulu's trust in our ability to deliver mission-critical infrastructure with speed, quality, and precision. Conti Federal's experience in the Indo-Pacific region includes recent projects comprising a building renovation at Camp Hansen in Okinawa, Japan, and a fuel system repair at Andersen Air Force Base in Guam. The event, which last year saw performances from the likes of Sting, Pet Shop Boys and Snow Patrol in Preston's Moor Park, will take place in the Essex city's Hylands Park from Friday, September 5, to Sunday, September 7. Announcing the location on Radio 2, presenter Rylan Clark said: "I can't wait to welcome my Radio 2 family to Chelmsford and have this year's Radio 2 In The Park right on my doorstep. "If there's one thing I know for certain, it's that an Essex crowd know how to party. See you all in Hylands Park."
