Joy Taylor celebrates some good news with her NFL rookie nephew after Fox firing

Joy Taylor took her mind off her Fox Sports ouster on Thursday night as she spent some time with her NFL rookie nephew, Mason Taylor. Earlier this week, The Athletic reported that Taylor was losing her job at the network, as her show 'Speak' and two other programs were being eliminated. Taylor co-hosted 'Speak' with Keyshawn Johnson and Paul Pierce, while morning shows 'Breakfast Ball' and 'The Facility' were also cancelled. However, she had some good news to celebrate on Friday as her nephew signed his rookie deal with the Jets. Taylor, a second-round pick by Gang Green in this year's NFL Draft, signed a four-year, $10.5million deal according to multiple reports. And $9.6million of that figure is guaranteed at signing, according to Spotrac. A night earlier, Taylor spent time with Mason and his girlfriend, Sage, as the group posed for a selfie which was posted to the media personality's Instagram page. Taylor is the younger sister of former Dolphins star Jason Taylor, who is Mason's dad. Mason, 21, is expected to be the Jets 'starting tight end this season after the team selected him with the No. 42 overall pick in the draft. His aunt spent nearly a decade at Fox Sports before losing her job earlier this week. Emmanuel Acho, who co-hosted 'The Facility,' also lost his job alongside colleagues Chase Daniel, James Jones and LeSean McCoy. The news of their exits came months after Taylor was accused of using sexual relationships with Acho and network executive Charlie Dixon to further her career. The shock allegations stemmed from a bombshell suit , which was filed on behalf of hair stylist and former Fox employee Noushin Faraji, which named Taylor, Dixon, former FS1 host Skip Bayless and the Fox Corporation. Taylor, 38, was alleged to have told make-up artist Faraji to 'get over it' when she confided in her about claims she was sexually assaulted by top programming executive Dixon. Taylor denied the allegation. Back in January, Taylor was also alleged to have used 'her sexuality to get on a show' when she sought a spot on Acho's program 'Speak'. She denied 'each and every allegation against her', with lawyers branding the lawsuit 'a transparent attempt to improperly leverage media attention and public perception to extract financial gain.' Two weeks ago Taylor finally spoke out about the lawsuit that embroiled several Fox Sports stars in scandal, claiming the allegations left her battling 'dark times', 'grief' and 'trauma'. Much of the lawsuit focused on allegations of sexual harassment, sexual battery, negligent supervision, retaliation and other hostile workplace issues between 2012 and August of 2024. Bayless was accused of offering $1.5million to Faraji for sex, while Dixon was accused of groping the stylist's buttocks. Back in April, reports claimed Fox Sports executive Dixon had lost his job after being accused of sexual battery in two separate lawsuits.

Fox Sports 1 is making major changes heading into the 2025 football season. It's been an eventful past year for Taylor, who was named in a lawsuit filed against Fox Sports by Noushin Faraji, a make-up artist. Joy Taylor rallies around family in the Bahamas and posts sultry vacation pictures after shock Fox Sports exit

Joy Taylor looked to be completely unfazed by her shock departure from Fox Sports as she posed for more vacation photos on Tuesday. Taylor, whose exit from the network was announced on Monday, took several racy snaps from the family trip to the Exuma Islands in the Bahamas. The former sports host, who was embroiled in a bombshell sex lawsuit a few months ago, posed on a swing wearing just a blue bikini in one of the photos. In another, she seemed to be enjoying a boat day with her sister-in-law, Monica. She is married to Taylor's brother, Jason, the former NFL player. Then a bikini-clad Taylor left little to the imagination in a third snap as she stood in the crystal clear ocean. It was revealed on Monday afternoon that the 38-year-old had been ousted from the network as part of a brutal overhaul, which saw three shows axed. Later that day Taylor shared a video on Instagram of herself in a tight-fitting blue workout set performing a series of exercises. Taylor could be seen jumping rope and carrying out arm workouts with a resistance band on an outdoor deck overlooking clear blue sea. At one point in the clip, Taylor was even captured doing a number of weighted hip thrusts with a dumbbell as a bikini-clad friend lounged on a day bed behind her. 'Couple sets before the beach,' she wrote in the caption, along side a flexed bicep emoji. Taylor shied away from any mention of her exit from Fox Sports as news of the network's brutal moves ran rampant online. As well as FS1 show 'Speak', which Taylor co-hosts, Fox is also cancelling two of its morning programs, as per The Athletic. All three shows are said to have struggled to find a huge audience, meaning they have now been brought to a close. Taylor, who co-hosted sports talk show Speak with ex-NFL star Keyshawn Johnson and NBA icon Paul Pierce, leaves Fox just months after she was accused of using sexual relationships with colleagues to further her career in a bombshell lawsuit filed by an ex-employee. The 38-year-old was also alleged to have told make-up artist Noushin Faraji to 'get over it' when she confided in her about claims she was sexually assaulted by top programming executive Charlie Dixon. Taylor denied the allegation. After nearly a decade with Fox, Taylor's contract was up this year and the network has reportedly decided not to renew it. FS1 is also said to be cancelling morning shows 'Breakfast Ball' and 'The Facility'. Colin Cowherd's 'The Herd' and 'First Things First' with Nick Wright, Chris Broussard and Kevin Wildes will continue as usual, with FS1 likely to produce new shows to replace the three that have been cancelled. has reached out to Joy Taylor's attorneys for comment. Two weeks ago Taylor finally spoke out about the lawsuit that embroiled several Fox Sports stars in scandal, claiming the allegations left her battling 'dark times', 'grief' and 'trauma'. 'I won't say that there were not dark times, but I'm very blessed to have an amazing family and amazing friends and mentors and an amazing team,' she told ' The Breakfast Club '. 'People that know me and have known me for my whole life reminding me of who I am and what I deserve.' Taylor continued: 'I have felt a lot of different emotions - I think it's a grief process when anything like that happens,' she told The Breakfast Club. 'I'll say, I've been through a lot of traumatic things in my life. A lot. And I think any time you go through a trauma or a grieving period of something, you can't decide who you are when it's happening. 'And that's been the biggest thing for me. It's this or that. I'm working on it, but it's this or that. And I know years from now I'll look back, and I will feel differently than how I feel right now. 'I'm trying to be patient with myself in that way, because it's a lot to adjust to. It's a new reality. And I'm trying to choose myself and be gentle with myself in that sense.' Despite the furor, she continued to present 'Speak' and 'Two Personal', her podcast which includes graphic admissions about her sex life . Taylor explained why decided not to hide from the scrutiny, telling The Breakfast Club: 'It was intentional to show up as I did' She explained: 'When you know yourself, it's easier to continue to show up as you are. And there's always going to be things that happen in life, that happen in this business, that happen when you're a front-facing person. 'And when you get into the business, that is the risk we take. Of putting ourselves in front of the camera, of putting yourself out there. That things, at some point, might not be the best for you. I mean, what's meant for me is still coming.'

Alder Hey gets child-friendly MRI scanner with TV for patients

A state-of-the-art MRI scanner built to have child-friendly features including a TV so young patients can watch their favourite shows during a scan has entered use at Alder Hey Children's hospital. The £3.1m 3-Tesla Magnetic Resonance Imaging scanner is among the first in Europe, and researchers have hailed the technology as "game-changing". It is used as part of the diagnosis and treatment of patients with conditions such as epilepsy and is the preferred method for follow-up assessments for children with cancer as they do not use Hey research manager Jason Taylor said it was "fantastic" to have the new scanner at the hospital. He said the new scanner meant more "game-changing research" could be done with partners in hospitals, universities and radiographer Neil Fanning said the new scanner was "much more patient-friendly", with lighter and more comfortable equipment. Alder Hey's consultant radiologist Professor Shivaram Avula said the scanner "provides the imaging speed, resolution and flexibility needed to lead the way in studying childhood and adult conditions". The scanner was funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) and is being used in a new child-friendly MRI its features are lighting, sounds and video projections and the TV Alder Hey spokesperson said one of the first studies using the scanner would involve scanning newborns during natural sleep to explore how early life and environment affect brain development. What is MRI? Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is a safe and non-invasive way to see inside the body, including the brain, muscles, joints and organs, an Alder Hey spokesperson said. Unlike traditional scanners, the new 3-Tesla model is able to capture much higher quality images in less time, using cutting-edge hardware and software. MRI scanners help identify early signs of disease, enabling medics and researchers to understand how differences such as genetics and the environment can influence health, which is vital for developing tailored treatments.
