‘Social Work' suggests utilizing AI to enhance social services
This came during the closing ceremony of the second day of the 15th Social Work Conference, organized by the Scientific Committee, chaired by Dr. Jassim Al Hammadi. The conference featured several workshops aimed at developing mechanisms for dealing with social cases and measuring psychological and societal indicators, in addition to enhancing the role of social media in development. Al Hammadi indicated that these recommendations emerged from extensive discussions within seven workshops that addressed ways to develop social work and enable institutions and employees to deal with psychological and social challenges more efficiently.

Importance of volunteering and UAE's role in supporting international initiatives The forum focused on the importance of volunteer work as a means of fostering communication and cooperation between nations. It also showcased the UAE's active involvement in supporting international volunteer initiatives. Participants engaged in two discussion sessions, exchanging successful volunteer practices and experiences. Honouring outstanding volunteers and organisations The forum honored several key figures and organizations, including Abdullah Al Shehhi from Dubai Cares and Dr. Mohammed Salem Al Junaibi from the Emirates Red Crescent. The Role of the UAE in supporting international volunteering The first session addressed the UAE's role in supporting global volunteer initiatives, with contributions from Dubai Cares, the Emirates Red Crescent, and the International Charity Organisation. The second session explored international volunteering practices, featuring representatives from the Emirates Foundation, Sharjah Charity Association, and international student volunteer Saleh Al Shamsi. Dr Jassim Al Hammadi's opening speech In his opening speech, Dr. Jassim Al Hammadi, Secretary General of the Sharjah Award for Voluntary Work, emphasized that volunteerism transcends geographical boundaries, as it is the efforts made to promote tolerance and understanding that define humanity. UAE as a beacon of volunteerism Fatima Musa Al Balushi, Executive Director of the Sharjah Award for Voluntary Work, stressed that the event reflects the UAE's role as a global leader in volunteer work, aiming to raise awareness and develop strategies for supporting communities both locally and globally.
