Liverpool wonderkid named as DREAM signing

Given the club's close proximity to Liverpool and the fact that they are now in the Championship and have Liverpool's former CEO, Peter Moore, working for them as an advisor, there is an opportunity here for both teams to work together. Including to bring in a dream signing according to Football League World pundit Liam Grice, who recently told the publication if he could choose one signing Wrexham make this season, it would be Jayden Danns. "One realistic signing I'd love Wrexham to make this summer would probably be, maybe not a permanent one, but a loan signing: Jayden Danns," Grice said. "He has struggled a little bit with injuries in his loan with Sunderland this season, but there's a proven goalscorer there. We've seen him do it for Liverpool, and I definitely think he's got the ability to perform at Championship level." Danns is a surprise name, given the likes of Jamie Vardy also being linked with a move to Wrexham. Not to mention the fact that he has very little experience in senior football. Although what we have seen from the Liverpool youngster so far has been impressive. He's already scored three goals in just 193 minutes played for the club's first team. That's a goal every 64.3 minutes. And it's not necessarily a fluke. Danns has been very prolific at youth level and he's been unlucky not to have been able to make his mark for Sunderland during his loan spell in the second half of the season. Injury problems have frustrated him for most of the campaign. Danns also missed pre-season and was unable to catch Slot's eye during last summer but to his credit, he was given opportunities under the Dutchman and he took them, scoring in the FA Cup against Accrington. A loan move to Wrexham is something we would endorse. Danns would get to play regular football at a relatively high level while remaining in close proximity to the club.

Loan move "likely" for injury-hit Liverpool striker

Liverpool are hoping to add a senior option at No9 this summer. The likes of Alexander Isak, Hugo Ekitike, Joao Pedro and Jonathan David have been extensively linked with an Anfield move. Aside from David, who is out of contract, none of the rest on the list is going to come cheap. Prices as high as £150m have been quoted in relation to Isak, while Ekitike and Joao Pedro could fetch £100m each. Advertisement In order to make room in the squad - and the budget - a certain number of outgoings will be required. Sporting director Richard Hughes is no doubt hard at work trying to find buyers for Diogo Jota and Darwin Nunez - both of whom are expected to leave Anfield this summer. Jota, 28, is out of contract in only two years and this could be Liverpool's best chance to cash in on the injury-prone forward. Nunez, meanwhile, could have been sold in January but no suitors met Liverpool's reported asking price of £75m. It could be a different story in summer with Hughes and Co. ready to accept bids for the Uruguay international. Advertisement And should Arne Slot add to the ranks then it could mean uncertainty for another one of the Reds' strikers. Jayden Dann's unfortunate season Jayden Danns has been in and around the first-team picture under Slot and predecessor Jurgen Klopp - playing in four competitions for the Dutchman this season. He was injured last summer - preventing a Championship loan - but managed a loan move to Sunderland at the end of the January window. Unfortunately for the 19-year-old he didn't kick a ball for the Black Cats, who are on the brink of Premier League promotion. A back injury was discovered in his medical and he has spent more time at the AXA Training Centre working on his rehab than at the Stadium of Light. Advertisement Having secured a long-term deal before his loan move, Liverpool are betting big on the homegrown prospect and are not going to sanction a permanent move in summer. © IMAGO - Jayden Danns Liverpool Jayden Danns will move on loan That's according to Lewis Steele in the Daily Mail, who says that another loan move is on the cards for the injury-hit frontman. 'Danns, 19, is regularly spotted reporting for duty at the AXA Training Centre and is working hard on his rehabilitation,' he wrote. 'He will hope to play a part in the pre-season tour of Hong Kong and Japan this summer – but a loan seems likely next season.' Several contending clubs could come forward for Danns, who had plenty of Championship interest before a deal with Sunderland was agreed. It might even be Hollywood-led Wrexham, who are now in the second tier and who had plans to sign Danns last season.

Liverpool wonderkid WILL replace Trent Alexander-Arnold

Sure, Liverpool have Curtis Jones. But they already had him. If Alexander-Arnold leaves the scouse void still remains in the squad because Jones had already been there. Liverpool now need someone alongside Jones. And there's only one obvious choice really. Advertisement It's Jayden Danns of course. The Liverpool wonderkid is the next exciting scouse talent in this team. He's been at the club for years and he's already somewhat proven himself at first team level. The 19-year-old has scored three goals for Liverpool in just 193 minutes of playing time on the pitch. Break that down and that's a goal every 64 minutes. One thing and one thing only has halted Danns' career trajectory so far and that's injuries. He's undergone a big growth spurt over the last few years and his new body is still growing and adjusting to the demands of adult football. Advertisement As a result, he's been unable to play for Sunderland despite being sent out on loan there and he was unable to be involved in pre-season last summer. Liverpool are being careful with him. Steven Gerrard underwent similar problems after he grew a lot at around the same age as Danns. In these situations Liverpool have to be cautious. But in the long-term Liverpool will know Danns is destined to be a first team player. With so much uncertainty in the no.9 position, if fit Danns can stake a claim for himself and showcase Slot he is ready to be an option. In the long-term, based on everything we have seen so far, Danns is definitely going to be a first team regular. He's got the finishing instinct, the work-rate and the technical qualities needed to make it in the modern game. That's why he's simply the one to replace Alexander-Arnold as Liverpool's next scouse superstar. That's why Liverpool also need to nurture him carefully because the scouse essence and quality is a rare trait.

Liverpool loanee Jayden Danns ruled out of Sunderland's promotion push

Liverpool striker Jayden Danns will not play any part in Sunderland's promotion push after being ruled out for the rest of the season. The 19-year-old academy graduate signed on loan for the Championship club on deadline day in February, but remained on Merseyside for treatment after concerns over a back injury were flagged during his medical. Advertisement There was hope initially that Danns would recover and be able to feature for Sunderland towards the back end of the campaign, potentially in the play-offs. However, that has now been dashed and Liverpool's focus is on getting him ready for the start of pre-season training in July. 'He won't play with us this season. It is definitive now,' Sunderland head coach Regis Le Bris told reporters on Friday. Sunderland beat off interest from several Championship clubs to secure the teenager's services. Le Bris' side are fourth in the table and 16 points ahead of seventh-placed Middlesbrough with five games remaining. Danns, who has scored three goals in nine senior appearances for Liverpool, became the youngest player in the club's history to start a Champions League game when he lined up against PSV Eindhoven in January. Jayden Danns gets bleak injury update in worrying admission over Liverpool starlet

Liverpool striker Jayden Danns continues to endure a frustrating second half of the season. The latest injury update is not a positive one. You'd be forgiven for not realizing, but Danns actually completed a loan switch to Sunderland in the winter transfer window. Letting him leave looked like a relatively risky move by Arne Slot at the time, given the continuing woes of Diogo Jota and Darwin Nunez, although the opportunity for him to gain experience at the business end of the Championship looked like a good one. But the way things have turned out, Danns has not been able to make an impact anywhere. After the clubs detected an injury during the transfer process, it was decided that the youngster would complete his recuperation at Liverpool — and with only a handful of games left in the Championship season, he's still not even training with Sunderland. But presumably it was expected, or at least hoped, that the Anfield talent would have been fit to play a role by now. However, manager Regis Le Bris has warned that time is running out for Danns to play any kind of role. While he denied that Sunderland is at a point where it needs to "admit defeat," he conceded that the Liverpool man is in a race against time to make any kind of impact. "We are not at this point right now but the season is running so it will be difficult," Le Bris said, via the Northern Echo. "We don't know exactly." The injury in question is a persistent back issue, which also disrupted Danns in pre-season. Still only 19, he will be hopeful of shaking it off completely in the long run, but it has colored his entire campaign after such an exciting breakthough under Jurgen Klopp. There is still theoretically time for Danns to recover and make a dramatic impact for Sunderland. There are eight games left of the regular Championship season, but the playoffs look like a near-certainty for the Black Cats. Danns' loan side is 11 points adrift of the automatic promotion places, but 12 points above seventh. The playoff final will take place on May 24, still almost two months away. But even assuming Danns can get fit by then, it would be a very brave call to throw in a striker who has hardly even trained with the Sunderland team. Wilson Isidor has been reasonably potent at the tip of the attack this season, netting 12 times in 35 appearances, and the north-east outfit has actually scored more goals than Sheffield United and Burnley (currently second and third). While the Liverpool striker can just about still dream of a fairytale ending to the season, it looks more likely that he will be forced to write the campaign off as something of a nightmare. At the very least, here's hoping he can get fit in time for pre-season, where he will try to convince Slot not to send him anywhere.
