Here are some ways to keep down the cost of your frozen treats . . . Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up BREAK THE MOULD: Making your own lollies is far cheaper than buying from the shops. You just need to invest in some moulds, which can be used over and over again. Dunelm has a set of four silicone push-up moulds for £5. Simply fill them with juice or squash and pop in the freezer for a quick, low-effort treat. USE IT UP: If you want to get creative, homemade ice cream and lollies are a great way to use up any fruit that is on the turn. It is also a clever way to smuggle fruit into a fussy child's diet. Raid your fridge for items that need to be used and get kids involved for a fun activity that they'll love. For example, when you have some bananas that need using up, simply chop into chunks and freeze for at least an hour. Then blitz them with a little milk to a creamy texture before freezing in moulds. You could add a teaspoon of honey for a sweeter taste. 'survey reveals what your ice cream eating habits could say about your personality' Avocado works well to give a nice creamy texture. Just blend with natural yoghurt, a squeeze of lime and a little honey before freezing in moulds. Or try soft strawberries blitzed with apple juice for an easy delicious combo. CARRY CASE: Kids often want ice lollies when you're at the park or as a treat on a day out. But the price of single lollies from shops or ice cream vans can be really expensive. Instead, you can take homemade or shop-bought lollies with you by popping them inside a travel mug which keeps drinks and food cold. The best cooling travel mugs can be expensive but they are worth the investment if they stop you buying refreshments when out and about. Try the Sainsbury's home travel cup, £12. Meghan Markle's subtle swipe at Piers Morgan after he branded Netflix show 'unwatchable'

Meghan Markle appeared to take a subtle swipe at Piers Morgan after he branded her Netflix show 'unwatchable'. The Duchess of Sussex has been repeatedly criticised by the controversial TV presenter over the years - and he even sensationally quit Good Morning Britain in 2021 after ranting about the former Suits actress. But last month, Piers tuned in to the mum-of-two's new Netflix show, With Love, Meghan before slamming her. READ MORE: Lower blood pressure and reduce dementia risk by cutting 2 things from diet The 60-year-old said: "I tried watching it, and after, honestly, about three, four minutes, I was done. "It was just unwatchable. It's just the ultimate kind of vanity project, where it's all about people telling Meghan how great she is, her telling everyone how great she is." He continued: ‌"It's not even her house. She's doing things like making coffee, making a basic cake. "There's nothing to actually learn here. And it's interesting to me that in Britain, they're incredibly unpopular, her and Harry. "I mean the most unpopular Royals, which, when you think we have Prince Andrew, is pretty extraordinary to go under that bar." In the show, Meghan introduced a new range of products - including a jar of raspberry spread, which she sent over to Piers' rival Alex Beresford, the Mirror reports. The Good Morning Britain weatherman took to Instagram to share a snap on his gift and said: "Can't wait to try this! Thank you so much @meghan..." He also showed fans large Jelly Cat octopus teddy bear, which Meghan had sent for his newborn daughter and gushed: "...And for Camille's sweet gift." Alex and Piers previously clashed over Meghan, resulting in the latter dramatically leaving the ITV the show after receiving 41,000 Ofcom complaints over his comments. Piers was sharing his thoughts on the Duchess of Sussex's Oprah Winfrey interview in which she opened up about her mental health struggles, saying he "didn't believe a word" of her admission. Alex confronted him over his comments the next day and said: "I understand that you don't like Meghan Markle [Piers] - you've made it so clear a number of times on this programme, a number of times. "I understand you've got a personal relationship with Meghan Markle or had one, and she cut you off. "She's entitled to cut you off if she wants to. Has she said anything about you since she cut you off? I don't think she has, but yet you continue to trash her." This led to Piers announcing: "OK, I'm done with this" as he stormed off set, barking: "You can trash me mate, but not while I'm [inaudible]." He announced his sudden exit from GMB shortly after.

Meghan Markle gets back at Piers Morgan with savage gift to his rival

The Duchess of Sussex has made sure to get back at Piers Morgan for years of abusive comments thrown her way as she surprised his rival Alex Beresford with lavish gifts Meghan Markle has proved where her loyalties lie as she got back at Piers Morgan thanks to a savage gift. The Duchess of Sussex has found herself at the centre of Piers' world for years as she's been the subject of many claims from the broadcaster. The controversial TV presenter is known to slam the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and even sensationally quit Good Morning Britain after ranting about the former actress in 2021. Last month, Piers was quick to watch a few moments of Meghan's new Netflix show before slamming her. ‌ He branded the series 'unwatchable' after watching only a few minutes of it. Piers said: "I tried watching it, and after, honestly, about three, four minutes, I was done. It was just unwatchable. It's just the ultimate kind of vanity project, where it's all about people telling Meghan how great she is, her telling everyone how great she is. ‌"It's not even her house. I mean the most unpopular Royals, which, when you think we have Prince Andrew, is pretty extraordinary to go under that bar." In the show, Meghan introduced her new range of products and made sure to send Piers' rival a present in an effort to make a very clear dig at the broadcaster. ‌ Good Morning Britain's Alex Beresford shared a snap on his Instagram of a jar of Meghan's raspberry spread. He declared: "Can't wait to try this! Thank you so much @meghan..." Meghan even went a step further and sent a large Jelly Cat octopus teddy bear to Alex's newborn daughter as he gushed: "...And for Camille's sweet gift." Piers lost his job on the ITV morning show after clashing with Alex over Meghan. He dramatically left the show back in 2021 after receiving 41,000 Ofcom complaints over his comments about Meghan. ‌ Speaking about the Duchess of Sussex's Oprah Winfrey interview in which she opened up about her mental health struggles, Piers said that he "didn't believe a word" of her admission. He also took issue with Meghan's claims that there were "concerns and conversations" over how dark Prince Archie's skin colour would be, before he was born. ‌ Piers was confronted by weather presenter Alex over his comments the following day, with Piers storming off set after their heated conversation. Alex said: "I understand that you don't like Meghan Markle [Piers] - you've made it so clear a number of times on this programme, a number of times. Taking issue with this criticism, Piers butted in, announcing: "OK, I'm done with this" as he strode off set, barking: "You can trash me mate, but not while I'm [inaudible]." He announced his sudden exit from GMB shortly after.
