Edmonton man dead after three-vehicle collision in Spruce Grove
An Edmonton motorcyclist is dead after a three-vehicle collision Thursday evening in Spruce Grove.
Parkland RCMP responded just before 5 p.m. Thursday to a report of a serious vehicle collision at the intersection of Jennifer Heil Way and Tri Leisure Way in Spruce Grove, they said in a Friday news release. When they arrived, they found a 40-year-old Edmonton man dead at the scene.
Mounties say a motorcycle was driving north on Jennifer Heil Way when it rear-ended a stopped GMC vehicle. The motorcyclist was thrown from his vehicle and hit the trailer of a third vehicle.
The occupants of the other two vehicles were uninjured.
Traffic in the area was delayed for several hours while RCMP investigated the collision. The roads have been reopened and traffic is now flowing normally.
