Woman suffers electric shock at home in Perth's east

St John WA rushed to the scene after reports a woman — aged in her 40's — had suffered an electric shock at a property in Mundijong about 8.15am on Wednesday. Paramedics are preparing to take the woman to Fiona Stanley Hospital. Her injuries are non-life threatening. The incident was not a result of the storm.

Traffic warning after serious motorcycle crash
Emergency crews are at the scene of the serious crash this afternoon. Credit: Main Roads / X Jessica Evensen The West Australian Emergency services are responding to a serious motorcycle crash on Canning Highway. WA Police, St John WA and the Department of Fire and Emergency Services rushed to the scene after reports of a crash between a motorcycle and car at the intersection of Canning Highway and Berwick Street, Victoria Park, about 2.20pm on Wednesday. The male rider has serious injuries. Canning Highway westbound at Berwick Street has been closed, while Canning Highway eastbound has been reduced to a single lane. Main Roads has reported heavy traffic with drivers warned to avoid the area.

Man killed after car smashes into tree in Perth's CBD

Emergency services rushed to the scene following reports a white Holden Commodore had crashed into a tree on Birdiya Drive about 6.15am on Wednesday. The was rushed to hospital with critical injuries but later died. Police are urging any witnesses to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report details online at

Credit: Main Roads WA Jessica Evensen The West Australian Police are investigating a serious crash after a pedestrian was hit by a car on Canning Highway. Emergency services rushed to the scene after reports a car collided with a pedestrian near Ryrie Avenue on Canning Highway, Como, about 9.40am on Thursday. The pedestrian sustained critical injuries. Canning Highway has been closed in both directions between Thelma Street and Preston Road as investigators probe the scene. More to come.

Tragedy as pair park car then hit by vehicle and killed
Police are investigating a horror crash in which two people were killed after being hit by a car on a major highway near Mandurah. Credit: Simon Santi / The West Australian Jessica Evensen The West Australian Police are investigating a horror crash in which two people were killed after being hit by a car on a major highway south of Perth. The tragedy happened after a 31-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man parked their white MG sedan in the south-bound emergency lane of Forrest Highway, south of Pinjarra Road in South Yunderup, about 6.20pm on Sunday. A short time later, a dark blue Volvo station wagon — which was travelling south on Forrest Highway — collided with the pair. The Volvo driver called emergency services and assisted on the scene. However, the woman and the man were seriously hurt and died at the scene. Major crash investigators are appealing for any witnesses to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or make a report online here.
