Liberal Fox Host Makes Offer to Musk: ‘We'll Take You Back'

Fox News host Jessica Tarlov used Elon Musk's displeasure with Donald Trump's tariffs and the GOP's proposed budget to try to convince the departed DOGE chief to return to the Democratic fold. The Five's resident liberal, Tarlov noted Musk's opposition to some signature policies of the Trump administration. 'He's so clearly disappointed, talking about the reconciliation bill and the work that he's done,' she said, noting also that Tesla has argued that the bill would 'threaten America's energy independence.' While bringing Musk–who supported the campaigns of Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden–back into the Democratic camp is a tall order, Tarlov went out on a limb to reach out. 'I'm not saying that the Democrats are going to get Elon Musk back,' she said, before adding, 'I'm campaigning for you, Elon. We only talked for a little while when you were on the show, but we'll take you back and we could DOGE this the right way together.' Musk said the Republicans' tax bill 'undermines the work that the DOGE team is doing.' Tarlov called it'reckless.' 'And what the Democrats are arguing, and what I think you couldn't deny, is that it's reckless at this moment to ram through trillions of dollars in tax cuts for the wealthy when you haven't cut any of the spending,' she said. 'Which is why Ron Johnson right now is a no, Rand Paul is a no, and they don't have the numbers for this." Musk also made his differences with Trump known when he spoke out against his sweeping tariffs shortly after 'Liberation Day' in April. Yet these points of contention won't be enough to recruit Musk to the other side of the aisle, The Five co-host Jesse Watters argued. 'Your party is dead, Jessica,' he began. 'You basically pushed the world's wealthiest man into our arms.' Tarlov shot back: 'And now he's running from you. He went on one date.' Watters replied that Musk, as a special government employee, had been allowed to only to work 130 days. Watters added that Musk shouldn't feel secure helping Democrats out because, as he viewed it, they will be trying 'to put the man in prison, try to bankrupt his companies, and investigate the hell out of him,' once they have the means to do so. 'You think he's not giving to Vance after what you did to him?' Watters asked. 'You think he's going to bury the hatchet after you called him a Nazi and burned his cars?'

Shoppers in these states who recently bought the item are being urged to check the packaging carefully for specific batch details and avoid consuming it due to potential health risks, as reported by The US Sun. This could result in a life-threatening allergy with difficulty in breathing and swelling of the throat. Why Fox News anchor Jessica Tarlov apologized 'to the entire world'

Fox News anchor Jessica Tarlov apologized "to the entire world" during a podcast interview with University of Virginia political analyst Larry Sabato on the Prof G podcast with Scott Galloway . Tarlov's apology followed Sabato's criticism of television news coverage and its impact on political discourse, and it preceded a heated exchange on The Five regarding Joe Biden's health and Donald Trump's cryptocurrency operations. Tarlov, the co-host of The Five, made the statement while discussing the importance of the media in contemporary discourse. Responding to her statement, Tarlov apologized broadly without going into detail about her specific grievances. Live Events Stressing that she is part of the problem, the Fox News host said, 'As someone who's on cable news, I apologize to the entire world for what we export.' Sabato laughed at Tarlov's remarks and went on to complain about the impact of social media on political discourse. 'There's nothing we can do about social media,' he asserted. 'The one thing I've been waiting for that I was promised as a young person was a time machine, I gave up on flying cars. We still don't have one, 'cause I'd love to go back and make it impossible to create social media. I don't know how I'd do it. But I would try to do that.' The podcast's comments came to light after Tarlov's fiery comments from Friday's Five program drew increasing scrutiny. While talking about possible ex-US President Joe Biden's health-related cover-ups, she veered off topic to make unsupported accusations about Donald Trump's cryptocurrency operations. Her co-host Greg Gutfeld shot back at her for supporting an administration that "concealed a dying leader". Gutfeld added that 'and you're sitting here going 'but meme coin, meme coin.'' Social Media Reaction: Reacting to her apology, one X user tweeted, "Jessica Tarlov should be homeless and living in poverty like the d*****s she is!" Another said, "No matter how good the other panelists are, Jessica Tarlov makes "The Five" unwatchable for me. She is the next Joy Behar." "Fox News wouldn't even be considered 'News' if Jessica Tarlov wasn't on the station. They'd be ended by lawsuits if Trump didn't win and save their narrative from evaporating," said a third.

Southwest Airlines' ‘two bags fly free' era comes to an end after 50 years: What you need to know

After more than 50 years of allowing passengers to check two bags for free, Southwest Airlines is making a major change. Starting Wednesday, the airline will begin charging many travelers for checked luggage, ending a long-standing policy that set it apart from most competitors. Baggage fees generated nearly $7.3 billion for U.S. airlines last year, according to federal data. With mounting pressure to boost revenue, Southwest executives, despite years of pledging to keep the 'two bags fly free' policy, are now following the industry trend. The airline has not yet announced what amount they will be charging to check the bags. However, its rivals are charging $35 or $40 for teh first checked bag with some exceptions. According to a spokesperson for the airline, they will honor the terms of fares, including no charge for the two bags on any tickets purchased before Wednesday. The new baggage fees will apply to Southwest's no-frills Basic fare, as well as its Wanna Get Away Plus and Anytime fare options, as reported by CNBC. Fox News host apologizes for alleged cable news misinformation

A Fox News host apologized 'to the entire world' for the supposed misinformation cable news 'exports,' while facing renewed calls to be fired from the network. Jessica Tarlov (pictured), who serves as the sole liberal panelist on The Five, made the astonishing remarks on the Prof G podcast, which she co-hosts with Scott Galloway. The two were speaking with Larry Sabato (pictured left), the University of Virginia's Center for Politics founder and director, when Tarlov asked what issue enrages him the most. He then replied that he rages about a lot of issues these days, which he attributed to the effects of cable news. 'I watch more TV news that I ever have before,' Sabato admitted. 'TV funnels what's selling on social media, I think, more than the reverse. That makes me rage.' Tarlov agreed, and said, 'As someone who's on cable news, I apologize to the entire world for what we export.' She did not clarify what she meant, but her comments made Sabato start to laugh as he lamented how social media is driving political discourse. 'There's nothing we can do about social media,' he said. The exchange comes as Tarlov is facing backlash on social media for remarks she made on Friday's episode of The Five. The panel had been discussing the possibility that the Biden White House covered up his cancer diagnosis, when she turned her attention to President Donald Trump's crypto dinner - and falsely claimed he made 40 percent of his wealth from cryptocurrency during his presidency. 'Greg mentioned a "staggering level of corruption" and I just got to note, though that the staggering level of corruption from last night's meme coin dinner, ' Tarlov said on Friday's broadcast. She then doubled down on her comments as the other panelists on the show scolded her for changing the subject. 'I'm talking about who is corrupt and who is profiting off the American office,' she said in an apparent bid to defend herself. But, Greg Guttfeld, noted: 'You're defending an administration that covered up a dying leader and you're sitting here going "but meme coin, meme coin."' The exchange led some on X to call on Fox News to fire the panelist, with some claiming she would be more suited at The View. Others also hit out at Tarlov for her false remarks, with one user saying she is 'dumb as a doornail.' 'Why does Fox News even employ her?' he asked. 'She brings nothing to the table and Jessie [Watters] and Greg [Guttfeld] call her out on all her lies, dumb liberal!!!' Another user, though, suggested Tarlov may be a 'a paid actress' because 'nobody could be that dumb. Trump is the only president to lose money in office and the only one to donate his salary,' the user wrote. 'Obama never made more than $400K, yet he is a multimillionaire. Biden as a senator never made more than $175K.' Still, Tarlov is not the only cable news host who has rebuked the system in recent years. Just last month, former Meet the Press host Chuck Todd told Mediaite he had grown demoralized by cable news content years before he left NBC News. 'I had it on in my office all the time,' he said. 'But most cable news felt like a whole bunch of people trying to game an algorithm. It stopped being informational.' Former Fox News star Megyn Kelly also said on her podcast last year that after watching cable news during the 2024 presidential election cycle, she was disappointed that 'nothing's changed. 'The people don't look as good - that's changed,' she joked. 'But they've changed nothing. They're having the same stilted, guided, fake conversations that last four minutes long with, like, the stupid panels. It's amazing how out of date they are,' Kelly said. For Larry Sabato, though, the issue with cable news is an inability to hold Trump accountable. He claimed to the Daily Beast that most networks were 'sane-washing' the president, arguing that they underestimate Trump's penchant for retribution - like his ongoing lawsuit against CBS News. 'I've personally seen the effects of Trump's intimidation of media companies, law firms and yes, universities,' Sabato said. 'The solution they've adopted seems to be "Let's keep our head down, stick to a lot of both-sides coverage and then Trump will target others."' In fact, the top brass at ABC News and its parent company Disney have reportedly asked the ladies of The View to dial back their constant complaining about the president. 'It hasn't dawned on some that Trump will eventually get around to slamming them too, as well as misusing the power of the government to exact revenge,' Sabato claimed. has reached out to Fox News for comment.
