As the argument continued, police say, Dousten pulled out a handgun, firing a shot at random, which went through the passenger window of Hermosillo's vehicle and struck her in the head, though she wasn't involved in the argument. Hermosillo's boyfriend, who was driving the vehicle at the time, rushed to the hospital, where Hermosillo later died, per police. Authorities added that the couple's young son and Hermosillo's mother were in the backseat of the vehicle at the time, but there were no other injuries. Glendale Police Sergeant Brian Hoskins told AZFamily that homicide detectives used video from multiple cameras to identify Dousten as the owner of the vehicle involved in the shooting. After searching a Glendale home, where police recovered two handguns, authorities arrested Dousten at his apartment, the outlet reported. He is being held on a $1 million bond on the charges of second-degree murder, aggravated assault, misconduct involving weapons and endangerment, per AZ Family. Her boyfriend was driving the car, while she sat in the passenger seat, and her mother and four-year-old son were in the back. As the other vehicles continued to fight, Dousten allegedly pulled out a handgun, pointed it at his own driver's side window and fired a single shot at random. The bullet went through the passenger window of the car on his left and struck Hermosillo in the head. Hermosillo's boyfriend rushed her to a nearby hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries. 'My question still is, why would you just randomly shoot the other way? He obviously didn't know the other car was there,' Glendale Police Sgt Brian Hoskins told AZ Family. 'Tracking from you know one location to another, switching cameras and continuing to follow the individual,' Hoskins said. Dousten was arrested, and police executed a search warrant at a home he had visited after the shooting and recovered two handguns. He has been charged with second-degree murder, aggravated assault, misconduct involving weapons and endangerment, and is being held on $1 million bond. Hermosillo's family has started a GoFundMe to cover funeral expenses for the influencer. She amassed over 300,000 followers across Facebook, Instagram and TikTok for her stay-at-home mom and cooking content.
