Jeff Goldblum's Jet2 Holiday TikTok Shows No One Is Safe From The Algorithm

If you haven't heard the 'Nothing beats a Jet2 holiday' sound in the past week or so, we can only assume you're living under a rock. It doesn't matter whether we're scrolling through Instagram Reels or bingeing TikTok: the Jess Glynne-backed voiceover accompanies disastrous holiday video after disastrous holiday video. We close our eyes at night and all we can hear is 'That's £200 for a family of four.' Zoe Lister, Hollyoaks legend and the voice behind the viral voiceover has even been making appearances at clubs and Pride events across the country on account of how popular the ad has become. But just when we thought we'd hit peak Jet2 holiday (a sentence we never thought we'd be saying in 2025), an unlikely contender has entered the ring and taken part in the trend... Jeff Goldblum. In the 13-second video, which has amassed a whopping 4.1 million views since it went live yesterday, the star tells the viewers: 'Nothing beats a Jeff2 holiday – right now you can save £50 per person, thats £200 off for a family of four.' Yup, apparently even Hollywood's biggest stars aren't immune to the TikTok algorithm – but as one commenter points out 'Jeff Goldblum being chronically online y is what keeps me going actually.' It only takes a quick scroll through Jeff's TikTok to see that the actor is no stranger to partaking in a trend – and we're here for it. Related... Jet2 holiday voiceover star Zoe Lister reveals why she was actually left in tears after the aeroplane advert went viral

Scroll through any social media app this summer and you will be sure to hear one voiceover that has gone completely viral: 'Nothing beats a Jet2 holiday'. The now catchphrase is from one of the airline's TV adverts and the voiceover is recorded by former soap star Zoe Lister. The advert is set to the background of Jess Glynne 's song Hold My Hand and has been used in various humorous memes. And Zoe - who also starred on Hollyoaks as Zoe Carpenter for four years until 2010 - has now opened up in a new interview about her worries when it started to go viral, saying she was left in tears. She told The Sun: 'Things started to get weird last year. People would send me videos of terrible turbulence with my really happy voiceover over the top. 'It was really funny, but I was really certain that Jet2 were going to rebrand. I didn't know what they were thinking about the viral stuff. 'I'm not joking, two weeks ago, I was crying to my husband about the direction of my life. I didn't know where they (Jet2) were going. I was hoping they had a sense of humour.' But she added that the company have chosen to look on the funny side and that it has become a 'positive and joyful' trend. She added: 'I'm very grateful that Jet2 are going to re-sign my contract!' Last week singer Jess finally met Zoe after their aeroplane advert became the latest trend on TikTok. Their viral sound has been all over social media this summer - with users adding the soundtrack over clips of travel fails - and while their advert has become a favourite for influencers, Jess, 35, and Zoe, 43, had never officially met. But last week the duo gave their fans what they wanted as they recreated the advert live in the Capital Breakfast studio. Speaking with Jordan North and Chris Stark on their morning show, Zoe revealed that she has developed such a close bond with the singer that she feels she is 'in her band'. Referring to the song, Jordan said: 'It genuinely is a banger. You go in any club, and it sounds so good.' To which Chris said: 'But it's wild how you always hear that song whenever you go on a plane and then it's in the advert. 'And then, for reasons no one really understands, this summer, it just exploded on TikTok. Has it surprised you how massive this has all gone?' Jess replied: 'Yeah, it's a massive surprise one hundred per cent. It's the most amazing thing to see though. 'It's mad because I feel like when I do my gigs, I feel like when I go to sing the hook, I feel like they're waiting for me to go ''nothing beats a Jet 2 holiday''. It is tempting but I need to take this seriously it can't be a joke.' Chris replied: 'Well, we want to make this moment happen Jess. I'm not going to lie we want to do something very special this morning. 'The whole of the UK is so excited about this. I've had so many messages over the weekend. So, we've not just invited you guys. 'Obviously Rudimental are here, Jess Glynne you're here, we've also invited the voice of the Jet 2 holiday advert. She's here, please welcome to the show Zoe! To which Zoe quipped: 'We're bonded I feel like I'm basically in your band now To finish the conversation, Chris said: 'The dream here is getting you guys to do the sound, that everyone is hearing, live together!' It took a while for people to realise that the voice behind the viral - and widely spoofed - Jet2Holidays advert belongs to the British soap actress. The UK-based organisation's ad, which features popstar Jess's 'Hold My Hand', shows a family of four enjoying a fun-filled holiday abroad while the voiceover skips through the offers and discounts available. The high-energy voice that viewers hear throughout the 30-second 'Nothing beats a Jet2 holiday' ad has become almost as distinctive as Glynne's UK chart-topping track - but until recently people had no idea that it belonged to ex-Hollyoaks actress Zoë. Zoe played Zoe Carpenter in the Channel 4 show between 2006 and 2010, making a brief return in April 2017. A writer as well as a performer, mother-of-two Zoe has also contributed to 56 episodes of the soap, which marked its 30th anniversary this year. Other past acting jobs include roles in Midsomer Murders, Crime Stories and Staff Room. According to her management company Harvey Voice's website, she has been the voice of Jet2Holidays for four years. Yet, it was only relatively recently that the mother-of-two revealed herself as the voice of the ad on TikTok - much to fans' delight.

Why Teens Are Talking About ‘Jet2 Holidays' Right Now

If you have teens in your life — or are just as chronically online as we are! — then you've probably heard, 'Nothing beats a Jet2 holiday!' repeatedly lately. Teens love repeating this phrase on TikTok and IRL, but no, it has nothing to do with promoting the airline company Jet2. Middle school teacher Mr. Lindsay, aka, the guru of all things teen slang, gave his weekly update on what kids are saying right now. Along with, 'I'm a Mommy' and 'Mamacita' from Love Island and Justin Bieber's, 'It's not clocking to you,' Mr. Lindsay quotes, 'Nothing beats a Jet2 holiday, where you can save £50 per person.' More from SheKnows New Research Says Smartphones Contribute to 'Detachment From Reality' in Kids - Yet 81% Have Them What? Why have teens locked in on this ad? It's actually just one of those random things, and the resulting videos are actually pretty funny. According to Know Your Meme, this phrase comes from a YouTube ad for a British airline. The ad, set to 'Hold My Hand' by Jess Glynne, features a British female voice saying the phrase Mr. Lindsay quotes. The sound went viral on TikTok, where teens started sharing videos of chaotic, underwhelming, dangerous, or stupid scenarios set to the sound. So far, 1.6 million videos have been made with this sound on TikTok. This one shows a teen opening the curtains of a hotel room to reveal a tiny window. Like this one, where a kid was hit in the face by a fish or this one, where an elephant grabbed a girl around the mouth. It's silly and funny, and we love it. 'Chances are if you have a social media account and you live in 2025 on planet Earth, you've heard my voice,' the voice actor behind the viral sound, Zoë Lister, said in a TikTok video, adding that she is 'in a permanent state of stupid joy, slight anxiety and overwhelm, and 'What the f— is going on?'' We can only imagine hearing your own voice all over social media and hearing teens repeat it in life too. This is just another silly teen slang trend, like meltmaxxing or 'holy airball.' How U.K. travel packager Jet2holidays is in the social media spotlight

Nothing beats a Jet2 holiday. That's according to the now-viral audio from U.K. tour operator Jet2holidays, which has found itself in the social media spotlight. TikToks and Instagram Reels abound with audio from a January 2024 ad promoting a Jet2holidays deal that knocked 50 pounds (equal to about $67) per person off a package price. Set to a backing track from Jess Glynne's song "Hold My Hand," a voiceover cheerily begins: "Nothing beats a Jet2 holiday ...." And it caught the attention of TikTok users, who began juxtaposing the audio clip with videos showing chaotic or unfortunate moments, whether travel-related or not. Some viral examples of TikTokers using the trending audio include a video of a boater trying to enter Italy's Blue Grotto while the ocean waves repeatedly crash them against the rocks. Another shows a woman's hair catching fire as she leans forward to blow out her birthday candles. According to a Forbes report, the most-liked video using the sound has accumulated 35 million likes on TikTok. In it, a person ostensibly in a hotel room throws open the floor-to-ceiling curtains only to be confronted with a tiny window. The ad "sound" has been used 1.4 million times on TikTok; the original ad on YouTube has received 2.4 million views. A British powerhouse travel packager Jet2holidays may be a relatively unknown travel company to most U.S. travelers, but it calls itself the U.K.'s largest package holiday provider. In its preliminary results for the fiscal year that ended in March and published July 9, Jet2 said it carried a record 19.8 million passengers and 6.6 million package-holiday customers. It recorded 7.17 billion pounds in annual revenue, a 15% increase over the previous fiscal year. Like other package-holiday operators in the U.K. such as TUI, Jet2 has its own hardware: It has a fleet of 135 aircraft and is planning to acquire 132 Airbus A321neo planes over the next 10 years. According to its financial statement, it works with more than 5,000 properties across more than 75 destinations. It also works through travel advisors and is a member of the Association of British Travel Agents. In its financial report it noted that its annual advisor conferences bring together more than 350 of its top-selling travel agents, directors and senior management. How Jet2 has leaned into the viral trend Jet2 did not immediately respond to an inquiry about the viral ad. The ad concept appears to go back as far as 2022, when Jet2 said it was launching a new series of adverts called "Nothing beats a Jet2 holiday." The ads featured the Glynne song, and "the message 'contact your local independent travel agent' continues at the heart of the multichannel campaign," it said. But it has since referenced the trend. Earlier this year it unveiled a new version of the audio on TikTok and Instagram, promoting savings of about 400 pounds (about $540) for a family of four. The video amassed 1.4 million likes. The company also used the trending audio to promote a contest to win a 1,000 pound (about $1,300) Jet2holidays voucher. TikTokers who used the new sound in a video were eligible to win the contest, which ran through May 19. The operator also unveiled a discount code referencing the advertisement. It is not the first time a travel brand has catapulted into the public eye because of a viral TikTok moment. A baby, dubbed the "Four Seasons Baby," went viral last year on TikTok after showing her excitement for the Four Seasons Orlando.

Watch the moment Jess Glynne finally meets Jet2 voiceover star after TikTok trend goes viral

WATCH the moment Jess Glynne finally meets Jet2 voiceover star after TikTok trend goes viral - with fans going wild. Unless you haven't scrolled on social media for about four months, you'll definitely know about the iconic Jet2 trend that has taken the internet by storm. 5 5 Hold My Hand has been the signature theme song for Jet2's television adverts since around 2015, the same year the song was released. A decade on, the advert - complete with its voiceover by Zoe Lister - has gained international popularity on social media. "Nothing beats a Jet2 holiday," is now somewhat of a viral phrase on TikTok and Instagram, with many people using the audio in their own videos. And this, hitmaker Jess Glynne met voiceover star Zoe Lister for the first time. Jess, 35, and Zoe, 43, had never met despite having their work combined a few years ago. Capital Breakfast, hosted by Jordan North, united the women for the very first time on Monday morning - and his excitement was contagious. In a video posted to Instagram, Jordan was so excited that he squealed it was "finally happening" ahead of the two women meeting. "It's happening! It's happening!" he screamed as Zoe entered the studio and gave Jess a hug. Co-host Chris Stark then asked Jess: "You know what's coming, right? We've got to chat about it. "Of course, talking about Hold My Hand… Chart-topping singer drew me a doodle mid-gig and now it's my first ever tattoo "You always hear that song whenever you go on a plane. "Then it's in the advert. "And then, for reasons no one really understands, this summer, it just exploded on TikTok. Has it surprised you how massive this has all gone?" Jess replied: "Yeah, it's a massive surprise 100%. It's the most amazing thing to see though." The hitmaker then hilariously performed her own version of Zoe's famous voiceover. Reading the full script out in the studio, Jess said: "Nothing beats a Jet2 holiday. "And right now, you can save £50 per person. "That's £200 off for a family of four." The entire audience cheered and Zoe was seen laughing as Jess read out the iconic voiceover script. Zoe then gave an impromptu live performance of her famous voiceover while Hold My Hand played in the background. Commenting on the video shared on Instagram, one person penned: "I love how people gets crazy over any kind of trend." Another wrote: "No this is a masterpiece." "The collab the world needed," said a third. While a fourth penned: "British culture at its finest!!" But a fifth person was less than impressed and controversially said: "Am I the only one starting to find this a bit boring now?" 5 5
