Hundreds of Extremist Settlers Storm Al-Aqsa Mosque Compound - Jordan News
On Tuesday morning, for the third consecutive day of the Jewish Passover holiday, hundreds of extremist Jewish settlers stormed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque – Al-Haram Al-Sharif in occupied Jerusalem, under heavy protection from the Israeli occupation police. اضافة اعلان In a statement, the Islamic Waqf Department in Jerusalem said the raids were carried out through the Moroccan Gate in successive groups, during which settlers performed provocative tours and rituals within the mosque's courtyards, including public dances. The occupation forces imposed strict security measures, turning Al-Aqsa Mosque and its surroundings into a military zone. Many Palestinians were prevented from entering, and their ID cards were confiscated at the outer gates. The occupation also increased the presence of special units throughout Jerusalem's streets, coinciding with the Jewish Passover holiday. Yesterday, Monday, Al-Aqsa Mosque witnessed a large-scale raid involving 1,149 settlers who entered in coordinated groups under heavy police protection. Significant reinforcements were deployed in the Old City, which resembled a closed military zone. During the incursions, some settlers performed the "Priestly Blessing" rituals — traditional Torah-based ceremonies usually associated with offering sacrifices. Meanwhile, the extremist group "Temple Mount is in Our Hands" launched promotional campaigns to encourage incursions into the mosque. These campaigns included subsidized transportation and free tours for settlers as part of what they called the "central days of storming" during the holiday, urging settlers to book and participate in large numbers. The "Torah Passover," which began Saturday evening, is considered one of the most important Jewish holidays. It is also seen as one of the most dangerous times for Al-Aqsa Mosque due to its associated rituals and Judaization practices. The holiday lasts for a week, ending at sunset next Saturday. It includes five days of planned incursions, from Sunday through Thursday, with the gates to Al-Aqsa closed to settlers on Friday and Saturday. The rituals performed by settlers during these incursions include public prayers in the mosque courtyards facing the Dome of the Rock, reading from the Book of Exodus, and some of the settlers — particularly those from the so-called "priestly class" — wearing white "atonement" garments in an attempt to symbolically lead the Torah-based rituals inside Al-Aqsa, claiming it as a center of Jewish worship. In response, Palestinian calls continue to urge intensified presence and Ribat (spiritual guarding) at Al-Aqsa from the early hours of dawn to confront the plans of extremist settlers and prevent attempts to bring in "sacrifices" or perform Talmudic rituals within the sacred compound. — (Petra)

Dozens of Extremist Settlers Storm Al-Aqsa Mosque - Jordan News
Dozens of extremist Jewish settlers stormed the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem on Monday, entering from the Moroccan Gate, under heavy protection from Israeli occupation forces. اضافة اعلان The Islamic Waqf Department in occupied Jerusalem reported in a statement that the hardline settlers toured the mosque's courtyards and performed provocative Talmudic rituals in the eastern part of the mosque. The Israeli occupation forces imposed strict measures on the entry of worshippers to the Al-Aqsa Mosque, checking their IDs and detaining some at the mosque's outer gates. The so-called "Temple Mount" groups had called on extremist settlers to escalate their attempts to bring sacrifices and perform rituals for the Jewish Passover holiday inside and around the Al-Aqsa Mosque, starting today, a week before the official start of the holiday on April 13, which lasts for a week. These calls are part of a broader effort by settlers to impose their religious rituals inside the Al-Aqsa Mosque, amid Palestinian warnings about the potential consequences of such actions on the situation in the holy city. In response, Palestinian religious and national bodies have issued urgent calls to gather as many worshippers as possible in the mosque, particularly in the coming days leading up to the Jewish Passover holiday. The Al-Aqsa Mosque faces daily violations and incursions by settlers, except on Fridays and Saturdays, under the protection of the Israeli police, in an attempt to take full control of the mosque and divide it temporally and spatially. Since October 7, 2023, Israeli forces have continued their siege on the Al-Aqsa Mosque, restricting the entry of Muslim worshippers, tightening security measures at its gates, setting up iron barriers, and detaining visitors, obstructing their access.

"Israeli" forces close Gaza crossings, halt aid after ceasefire phase one ends
On Sunday, Israeli Occupation Forces closed the Gaza Strip's crossings and halted the entry of goods and humanitarian aid following the end of the first phase of the ceasefire agreement, refusing to implement the second phase, according to the Palestinian Media Center. The office of "Israeli" Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that with the completion of the first phase of the prisoner exchange deal, Netanyahu decided to stop the entry of goods and supplies into Gaza starting this morning. The statement claimed that this decision was made due to Hamas's rejection of US envoy Stephen Wittykov's proposal to continue negotiations, threatening "additional consequences." Early today, Hamas leader Mahmoud Mardaoui emphasized that the only path to regional stability and the return of captives was the completion of the ceasefire agreement, beginning with the implementation of phase two. In a press statement on Sunday, Mardaoui stated that the second phase ensures negotiations for a permanent ceasefire, complete withdrawal, reconstruction, and the release of prisoners within an agreed-upon deal. "This is what we insist on, and we will not back down," he said. He pointed out that the recent statement from Netanyahu's office, which mentioned agreeing to a truce during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr, "is a clear confirmation of what we have been stressing from the beginning," referring to "Israel's" evasion of agreements. Mardaoui stressed that the occupation repeatedly reneges on signed agreements and continues to maneuver in fulfilling its ceasefire commitments. He warned that "this continued manipulation will not bring the captives back to their families; on the contrary, it will prolong their suffering and put their lives at risk unless pressure is exerted on the occupation to fulfill its obligations." Last night, Netanyahu's office announced that "Israel" had agreed to the broad outlines of a ceasefire plan proposed by US envoy Stephen Wittykov for a temporary truce in Gaza during Ramadan and the Jewish Passover (Apr. 12-20). This plan had not been previously disclosed by Wittykov. In a statement issued after a security meeting chaired by Netanyahu, attended by the defense minister, senior military leaders, and the negotiating team, it was confirmed that, according to Wittykov's proposal, half of the "Israeli" captives held in Gaza, both dead and alive, would be released on the first day of the proposed ceasefire. The statement added that if an agreement for a permanent ceasefire is reached, the second half of the captives in Gaza would be released. The first phase of the ceasefire agreement ended Saturday evening, though negotiations for phase two were originally scheduled to begin on Feb. 3. Netanyahu obstructed this process, as he sought to extend the first phase of the prisoner exchange deal in order to release as many "Israeli" captives as possible without offering any concessions or completing the obligations outlined in the previous agreements. Hamas rejected this and demanded that Israel be held accountable for the ceasefire terms, urging mediators to immediately begin negotiations for phase two, including "Israeli" withdrawal from Gaza and a full halt to the war.
