Singer and actor , along with Ji Young from 'Kpop Demon Hunters', have officially been cast in the first of its kind, K-Pop movie ! has been confirmed to take on the role of director for the upcoming project. K-pop film in the works As per reports from Deadline, this K-pop film is going to follow the life of a Korean-American woman, who, against her family's wishes, ends up joining a show to become the next big K-pop idol! The film's director revealed more information about the upcoming American film in depth. Labelling the film as his 'love letter' to K-pop, the director revealed 'its energy, passion, magic, and the incredible community behind it. I'm deeply grateful to Paramount Pictures for championing the project, to our producers for their unwavering dedication, to our talented and dynamic cast, and the legends of the genre, helping us bring this story to life. This one's for the dreamers'. Eileen Shim will be taking on writing the script for the role and has expressed her gratitude and excitement over the movie. This project is also going to be one of the first American films to be completely shot in South Korea, making this a major milestone in the entertainment industry. About the cast of the film Not much information about the film has been shared with the public; however, the main cast members have already been confirmed! Eric Nam, who is well known for his soulful vocals as well as for his acting prowess, is going to be taking on one of the lead roles in the film. Nam recently debuted on the big screen with ' Transplant ', where he starred alongside ! He will also be featured on the upcoming 'The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender' as the voice artist for Aang too! Yoo Ji Young , on the other hand, will be playing one of the female leads of the show! She has most recently gone viral for her voiceover acting in the hit OTT film 'Kpop Demon Hunters' as Zoey. She is known for various other projects such as ' Expats ', 'Smoking Tigers', The Yinyang Master', and 'The Sky Is Everywhere'.

Veteran idol and member of popular girl group Kahi recently opened up about her ordeal of living through a traumatic childhood. She talked all about the trauma that she went through as a child and how she managed to overcome it all and come out on top. After School 's Kahi gets candid about her personal life During the broadcast of a popular online variety show titled 'Make Us New', Kahi from After School opened up about her past trauma and all she went through. The idol shared that as a child, she lived in an emotionally distant and void environment. She elaborated on it by sharing that "When I came home at the age of three, I couldn't even recognise my mother's face.' 'My father was tall and handsome and had even completed graduate school, but he was extremely patriarchal. My mother, on the other hand, was a full-time housewife who was always intimidated,' the After School member continued. Calls her childhood home a 'survival zone' Kahi also recalled the issues she had to face as a child, calling her house a 'survival zone'. She shared that 'I always felt unloved and lonely. Home never felt like a place for me. I remember one time, I caught my mother washing a blanket that was soaked with her blood after my father beat her." The singer-dancer also tearfully shared her ordeal of facing abuse in her own home, saying that 'There wasn't a single object I wasn't beaten with. Sticks, belts, hangers. I was hit at the slightest provocation.' Left home at an early age to pursue her career Due to the toxic environment at her home, Kahi also talked about how she would spend nights in her school instead of going back to avoid any conflicts. She also detailed how 'a window' saved her life. She shared that she ran away from home to pursue her love for dancing and singing. 'I remember hiding in the bathroom with a friend, saying, 'I really don't want to go back.' My friend opened the window and said, 'Ji Young, go.' That window changed my life," the idol shared. She then expressed gratitude towards her mother for supporting her throughout everything. Kahi shared that 'Looking back, I think my parents were going through a really hard time too. I'm so thankful my mom stayed with us and protected us, even without divorcing my dad during that difficult time.'
