TWICE's Jihyo joins the long list of expensive celebrity homeowners; she purchases a 4 billion KRW property in Seoul
Recently, a popular Korean media outlet shared the news that TWICE member Jihyo is joining the long list of celebrity homeowners. The idol recently spent her money and bought an almost 40-year-old property building in Seoul. The property is close to a commercial area as well as the Han River, making it a prime investment opportunity for the idol. TWICE's Jihyo invests in expensive property Jihyo recently made a hefty purchase by investing in an almost 40-year-old building in Seongdong-gu, Seoul. The overall price was finalised last year in March at a total amount of 4 billion KRW in total. While the building may be old, it is also reportedly being anticipated that the overall value of the building will increase in the coming future. The news was reported by K-media outlet Chosun Biz recently. By the end of March 2024, everything was settled, and soon after, Jihyo officially became a property owner. As per the same reports, there was no mortgage registered publicly, which points to the fact that the payment may have been made completely in cash. Another factor that may contribute to rising value is that the property Jihyo bought is only a 10-minute walk away from the main and commercial area of Seongsu-dong. The building is also located in a famous redevelopment area called Seongsu Strategic Maintenance District. Other than that, it is also close to the Han River and Seongsu Station, making it a prime location. Per square metre, the property's land value costs 86.99 million KRW. According to the same reports from the news channel, the property is set to only rise in valuation due to its prime location and the area surrounding it, as per critics.

Twice members feature on Netflix's animated film
Trio brings K-pop spirit to a global action musical adventure Twice members have participated in the soundtrack for Netflix's upcoming animated film "KPop Demon Hunters." According to Netflix's announcement, the three Twice members -- Jeongyeon, Jihyo and Chaeyoung -- lent their voices to original songs for "KPop Demon Hunters," which will be released in 190 countries June 20. "K-Pop Demon Hunters" is an action-packed musical animation that follows globally popular K-pop superstars who secretly hunt demons offstage to protect their fans. Produced by Sony Pictures Animation — known for global hits like "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" — the film is co-directed by Korean American director Maggie Kang and Wish Dragon's Chris Appelhans. "We're thrilled to collaborate with Jeongyeon, Jihyo and Chaeyoung of Twice. Working with them was crucial to ensuring the film and its music felt authentic to K-pop culture, and it shows that our goal of portraying a real K-pop group has been realized," Kang said. Jeongyeon, Jihyo and Chaeyoung also expressed their excitement through their agency, saying, "It was fascinating to connect with the brave characters in the story through music. It felt even more special because it blended two creative worlds, K-pop and animation, into one." One of the most successful K-pop girl groups, Twice recently performed as a special guest at the Seoul leg of Coldplay's "Music of the Spheres" World Tour. Twice is set to take the stage as a headliner at Lollapalooza Chicago, a major music festival that will place at Grant Park in Chicago, Illinois, in August.
