Lorde is feeling 'simply crazy' after dropping her new album, Virgin. On Friday, hours after releasing her new LP, the musician reacted to it being out in the world by sharing some snapshots of the music-making process. 'This album broke me apart and forged a new creature out of me,' she wrote in her post. 'I am so proud to stand before you today as her, grateful for this beautiful life spent singing to myself and to you, for as long as you'll have me. Thank you so much, from the bottom of my heart, down to my cells.' 'I'm still in shock and awe that so many of my heroes worked on Virgin — it has changed me collaborating with people this good, they'll get a separate post,' she wrote, seemingly referring to Jim-E Stack, Dan Nigro, and Buddy Ross who co-produced the album. 'I'm already extremely behind on this fucking post and pulling up at the festival again rn it'll never leave my drafts if I don't keep moving… but today very very special thanks go to Jimmy Stack for a collaboration so all in, fun, supportive, moving and inspiring that it really can't be put into words.' The festival she refers to in the post is likely Glastonbury, where Lorde played a surprise set, performing her album front to back on Friday. The new album featured previously released singles 'Man of the Year,' 'Hammer,' and 'What Was That,' along with new tracks such as 'Shapeshifter,' 'Current Affairs,' and 'GRWM.' 'Lorde excavates parts of herself she has yet to contend with on the public stage — from her evolving gender identity to her family-born traumas,' read a Rolling Stone review of the album. Lorde surprised fans at her record release party in Berlin on Wednesday when she performed to a small group of lucky attendees. The singer, 28, who recently raised eyebrows with her latest album cover's artwork, arrived at riverside venue Spindler & Klatt on a boat. She flashed her midriff in a crossover halterneck top that featured a tasselled trim and black cargo trousers. Lorde accessorised her outfit with a pair of rectangular sunglasses and styled her hair into waves. The event, hosted by Universal Music, was to celebrate the launch of her new album Virgin, with fans having no idea that the musician would actually perform. The album cover features an x-ray of her pelvis with her hip bones, belt buckle, and zipper visible and - inter-uterine device included. It's not entirely clear if the X-ray is of Lorde but has reached out for comment to confirm. The singer dropped the visual to her Instagram where she also announced the title of her fourth studio album and it's release date as June 27. Elsewhere, Lorde was pictured with her rumoured new man, Jim E-Stack, 33, after seemingly going public with their relationship at Glastonbury over the weekend. The musician, from New Zealand, wowed fans with a surprise set at the iconic music festival on Friday. Following the bravura performance, she was seen arriving at the London Heliport in Battersea with Jim. He is a producer and DJ, who has also worked with the likes of Haim, Bon Iver and Empress Of. According to The Sun, the singer was spotted 'getting close with the musician on stage' after playing the surprise Glastonbury set The pair were also seen 'with their arms around each other while they watched The 1975' and went on 'partying until well after 4am'. And Lorde's latest relationship drama should provide her with plenty of material for her next album. The singer appeared to make her new romance with music producer Jim-E Stack public at Glastonbury last weekend, with the couple spotted with their arms around each other watching The 1975 headline the Pyramid Stage on Friday night, as revealed by The Sun. The double Grammy award-winning singer had played a surprise set at Worthy Farm earlier in the day, when herself and Stack were seen getting close on stage during their performance. But the loved-up pics sparked a bitter backlash online - led by Stack's "fuming" ex-girlfriend, US singer Kacy Hill. Kanye West's former backing dancer-turned-singer took to TikTok to subtly claim her music maker ex-boyfriend ended their six-and-half-year relationship for Lorde, after the pair collaborated on her new album Virgin. Mindful of the singer's passionate fan base, Kacy, 31, resisted the temptation to give Lorde, 28, a blatant blasting on social media. Instead she posted a video which shows her slow clapping alongside the caption: 'Let's hear it for the man who ended my 6.5 year relationship while making a girl's album then started dating her,' to the soundtrack of Lorde's single Man of the Year. Meanwhile observers are suggesting that Lorde has form for dating her producers.
