Ledge Amphitheater announces shows with Bonnie Raitt, ZZ Top, Wallflowers, Slightly Stoopid
The Ledge Amphitheater won't be left out of the deluge of summer concert announcements.
The Waite Park venue announced three concerts for its summer concert series, including performances from ZZ Top, The Wallflowers, Bonnie Raitt, Jimmie Vaughan, and Slightly Stoopid.
Four days after Alison Krauss' previously announced reunion with Union Station comes to The Ledge, ZZ Top will headline a show alongside The Wallflowers. The Texas blues rock trio and accompanying beards will arrive in Minnesota on June 12.
The group, more than a half century into its career, has continued touring after the 2021 death of bassist Dusty Hill. He's been replaced by the band's long-time guitar tech, Elwood Francis.
A presale for that show will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 5 at 10 a.m. with the public on sale taking place Friday, Feb. 7 at 10 a.m.
The second of the three newly announced shows brings the long-running California reggae rock ensemble Slightly Stoopid to town with Iration and Little Stranger opening on Aug. 6. A presale is set for Wednesday, Feb. 5 at 10 a.m.
The band's 20-state tour, including their show at The Ledge, will be donating a portion of ticket sales to the Life Rolls On Foundation, which is "dedicated to improving the quality of life for people living with various disabilities."
Lastly, Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Bonnie Raitt, who was just nominated for her 31st Grammy, will hit the Waite Park stage on Sept. 20. Jimmie Vaughan and The Tilt-A-Whirl Band will open.
Her tour will also roll through the Riverside Theater in Milwaukee on Sept. 16, the Weidner Center for the Performing Arts in Green Bay on Sept. 17, and the Lake Superior Big Top Chautauqua in Bayfield, Wis. on Sept. 19.
A presale for Raitt's concert at The Ledge Amphitheater will take place on Thursday, Feb. 6 at 10 a.m., with tickets going on sale to the general public the following day.
