Jitendra EV, MET's Institute of Engineering ink pact to boost EV innovation

) on Tuesday said it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with
MET's Institute of Engineering
(IOE), Bhujbal Knowledge City, to bridge classroom learning with real-world
electric mobility applications
.
'This MoU is a vital step in connecting academic learning with innovation, enabling our students to gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge EV technologies,' said V P Wani, Principal, MET's IOE.
Tejas Merchant, R&D representative at Jitendra EV, said that the collaboration aims to nurture future-ready engineers capable of real-time problem-solving and driving innovation in the electric mobility space.
The agreement, signed on August 5, 2025, with the institute's Department of Mechanical Engineering, will see collaboration on research, product development, industrial consultancy, and technical problem-solving in the EV sector, said the official press release.
The release added that the partnership will provide IOE students with industry exposure through internships, live projects, and visits, while also enabling technical support for developing
electric scooters
, rickshaws, bikes, and other mobility solutions. IOE will also offer consultancy to address in-house and field challenges and help enhance productivity.
Founded in 2016, Jitendra EV is part of the Shah Group and offers electric mobility products including the Primo S, JMT Series, and Yunik models.
