Alligator spotted in this Bucks County lake. Police post warning

A small alligator has been seen swimming near Magnolia Lake in Bristol Township, according to the Bristol Township Police Department's Instagram. A video posted by the police at about 3 p.m. Thursday shows the alligator's head peering out of the lake near Lakeland Avenue and Bristol Oxford Valley Road. "We have been made aware of a small alligator that is swimming in the area of Magnolia Lake," the police wrote in its video post. "We have notified the Wildlife and Game Commission, who will be addressing this situation. Please use caution and avoid using the creek until it's safe." Police learned about the gator from a 911 call, Bristol Township Police Sgt. Jason Mancuso said. It was not immediately known Thursday night how the police obtained video of the baby reptile. Magnolia Lake sits near Bucks County's Silver Lake Park complex, where visitors fish, hike and kayak. It is unclear at this time if the alligator has been removed or how it got there. American Alligators are native to the southern states and along the Gulf coast, according to information on the U.S. Geological Survey website. Man barricaded in vehicle in West Rockhill: Bucks County DA

The Bucks County District Attorney's Office has confirmed a police incident is underway involving a person barricaded in a vehicle in West Rockhill. DA spokesman Manuel Gamiz said it was not confirmed as an active shooter situation. He also did not have a location for the police activity. The incident is being handled by Pennridge Regional Police. The incident is believed to be in the area of the Naceville Hotel, with a bar and restaurant on Ridge Road, in Sellersville, where they posted on Facebook that everyone inside was safe. According to a post on the Naceville Hotel Facebook page, "we are safe and sound at the Naceville hotel!!! It's been a crazy day thank you." The hotel dates back to 1843 in this rural part of Upper Bucks County. "All we know is that the car (with the suspect) drove by and then about a hundred police cars drove by," a Naceville employee who answered the phone at about 2:45 Wednesday afternoon said. The employee added that she and other staff had been in the restaurant all day when she was interrupted by who she later identified as a Pennsylvania State Trooper. "We'll be out of your hair pretty soon," the officer was heard saying to the employee. "It looks like they're packing it up now," the employee said when she returned. North Penn Now is reporting that numerous SWAT officers and police departments are staging near the hotel. Witnesses online reported a man was shooting out his car window on Ridge Road near a construction zone shortly around noon, according to online news site. Ridge Road in the area of County Line and Allentown roads is reported closed to traffic at 1 p.m. This is a developing story.
