Channel 4's In Flight cast: Meet the characters and actors, and see where you recognise them from

Another day, another gripping thriller to binge. If you're trying to escape the UK heatwave (hard relate), an evening spent in front of your TV – and a fan blasting cold air – is in order. And, luckily for us, Channel 4 has just released the perfect series to watch in one sitting: In Flight. Starring a string of famous faces (more on that in a moment), the new series follows Jo, a flight attendant whose teenage son is jailed for murder in Bulgaria. Proving that a mother's love knows no bounds, Jo enters a murky world of drug smuggling in a desperate attempt to save him across six episodes. If this sounds like your kind of TV drama (why else would you still be reading this article?) then scroll on for all the tea on the characters and cast of Channel 4's In Flight... The full cast of In Flight: Now, time for a deep-dive into where you recognise these actors from. Boarding passes at the ready! Who is Jo Conran? Jo Conran is a single mum working as a flight attendant. She's coerced by a criminal gang into *spoiler* smuggling drugs at work in order to save her son, who is imprisoned in Bulgaria for a murder he says he didn't commit. What else has Katherine Kelly been in? Most will recognise Katherine Kelly for her role as Becky in Coronation Street, but she's also starred in the likes of Happy Valley, The Night Manager, and Mr Selfridge. The list doesn't end there, though. Kelly has starred in Criminal: UK, The Long Shadow, The Crow Girl, Inside No. 9, Mr Bates vs the Post Office, Protection, and more. Who is Dominic Delaney? They say you shouldn't sh*t where you eat – that being, don't fool around with people at your workplace. But, in Jo's case, that rule doesn't apply, because Dominic Delaney is a customs officer at the same airport she works at... as well as being her ex. What else has Ashley Thomas been in? As well as being a rapper (going by the stage name, Bashy), Ashley Thomas has acted in plenty of on-screen series such as Black Mirror, Top Boy, Great Expectations, and The Serpent Queens. As far as film goes, you might recognise him from 100 Streets, Brotherhood, and 4321. Who is Cormac Kelleher? Cormac Kelleher (what a catchy name!?) is the leader of the criminal gang that coerces Jo into smuggling drugs at work. What else has Stuart Martin been in? With such a long list of TV and film appearances behind him, we'd be surprised if you don't recognise Stuart Martin. His TV acting resume includes Game of Thrones, Silent Witness, Babylon, Medici, and Crossing Lines to name a few, plus films such as Robin Hood, Army of Thieves, and Our Ladies. Who is Sonny Conran? If the surname didn't give it away, Sonny Conran is Jo's son. He's banged up in Bulgaria for an alleged murder committed while on a night out with friends – a murder he promises he didn't commit. What else has Harry Cadby been in? Harry Cadby has previously appeared in TV series such as Red Rose, Inside Man, Life After Life, Dope Girls, and Everything Now, as well as the film O'Dessa. Who is Zara Gregston? Zara Gregston is a friend and colleague of main character, Jo. What else has Ambreen Razia been in? Ambreen Razia is recognisable from her roles in Black Mirror, The Emily Atack Show, Ted Lasso, The Agency, This Way Up, Trigonometry, and Starstruck. Who is Melanie Delaney? Another game of match-the-surname-to-the-corresponding-cast-mate... Melanie Delaney is customs officer Dominic Delaney's wife. What else has Bronagh Waugh been in? Another very recognisable actor, Bronagh Waugh has a massive list of TV appearances behind her. Think: Hollyoaks, The Fall, Derry Girls, Des, Our House, The Suspect, Death in Paradise, Ridley – the list goes on! Channel 4's In Flight is available to stream on Channel 4 from Tuesday 12 August.
