And despite numerous links away, he ended up seeing out his contract at the club. Correa scored two goals and made two assists across twelve appearances in Serie A in his final season at the Nerazzurri. Technically speaking, Correa's contract with Inter runs out at the end of June. But the Nerazzurri will release him a few weeks early from his deal. This will allow the former Lazio and Sevilla forward to join Brazilian club Botafogo. Gianluca Di Marzio reports that the Brazilian giants will be able to complete the signing of Correa before the pre-Club World Cup transfer window closes. Therefore, the Argentine can be a part of Botafogo's squad for that tournament.

Napoli crowned Italian champions

That win means they've now got their hands on their second league trophy in three years, (and fourth overall) edging out Inter by just a single point. Inter did their bit with a 2-0 victory away at Como, with goals from Stefan de Vrij and Joaquin Correa, but it wasn't quite enough. McTominay got the party started just before half-time with a stunning overhead kick after a lovely cross from Matteo Politano, sending the packed Stadio Diego Armando Maradona absolutely wild. Lukaku made sure of the result early in the second half, going on a brilliant solo run before sticking it in the back of the net – job done. From there, it was all about the celebrations. The Diego Armando Maradona Stadium turned into a sea of flares, smoke, and noise, and the skies over Naples lit up with fireworks when the final whistle went. The title win puts Napoli just ahead of Inter by the narrowest of margins, and it also sees Antonio Conte make history as the first manager to win the Serie A title with three different clubs.
