AN urgent travel and parking warning has been issued to attendees of the upcoming Bray Air Show - with road closures and transport delays expected.
Returning on August 2, the Bray Air Display is one of Ireland's biggest free public events, drawing more than 100,000 spectators every year.

From 10am on the day, several key roads near the seafront will be closed, including Strand Road, Sidmonton Avenue, Albert Avenue, Convent Avenue, Seapoint Road and part of Putland Road.
Event organisers said: 'To facilitate this major public event and ensure the safety of all attendees, a number of temporary road closures and traffic restrictions will be in place.
'These measures are essential for pedestrian safety, emergency access, and overall event logistics.'

Local residents will have limited access and for attendees barriers and stewards will be in place to prevent entry after the cutoff time.
If you're driving, you'll need to pre-book your parking in one of the designated car parks nearby as it is expected to sell out fast.

Organisers added: 'Important notice regarding parking arrangements for the #BrayAirDisplay 2025.
'Motorists are advised to pre-book a parking space at the official event car parks online before attending the airshow, and to arrive before 2 pm.'
Even with a space booked, traffic delays are likely before and after the event and attendees are being asked to carpool or use

The DART is the most direct route to Bray, and services will now be running more frequently during the day to help manage the crowds going to the event.

Back in 2022, thousands of passengers were stuck in carriages or left stranded due to overcrowding which has led to some improvements in how the event is handled.
And bosses are now encouraging people to travel early, avoid peak return times and listen for platform announcements.
Event organisers said: 'Please be aware that the event is expected to attract a large volume of traffic on the road network and via public transport so you will have to increase the journey times.
'We would like to stress that all spectators please plan their journey in advance, remain alert and arrive early for a stress‑free journey to Bray.'
