TJ Reid urges Kilkenny to ‘sharpen up' after late Galway scare despite sealing Leinster six-in-a-row
TJ REID has called on the Cats to sharpen their claws for the All-Ireland semi-finals. The 2 Kilkenny captain John Donnelly lifts the Bob O'Keeffe Cup after their win against Galway at Croke Park on Sunday 2 TJ Reid of Kilkenny insists the Cats must improve in their hunt for the All-Ireland title Goals from Mossy Keoghan at the end of each half proved vital against the Tribes, as Huw Lawlor starred at full-back. Reid's second half goal helped steer Derek Lyng's men 13 points ahead coming down the stretch. But a stunning Galway revival saw the Tribes get back within four, before Keoghan's second strike sealed their SEVENTH And iconic stalwart Reid, 37, insists they have huge work to do if they want to end their 10-year wait for Liam MacCarthy after letting Galway back into the game and firing 11 wides. read more on gaa He told SunSport: 'We have things to work on for sure. but look, we have a Leinster title, it's what's coming home. "It's time to reset, refocus and take one or two days off and sharpen up for the next four weeks. 'We hurled well, very happy with the outcome, we move on now to four weeks off which is a blessing. 'But look, we weren't efficient - first half especially and there were probably four or five points there that we left behind. Most read in GAA Hurling 'We weren't efficient, we dropped five short there in the second half, we weren't efficient there either, and it makes life a lot easier for the opposition to reset and go after us again. 'We hurled well in the second half but we weren't happy with their goal that they got from the free. RTE GAA pundits argue over who started halftime row as Cork eventually topple Limerick in Munster epic final "It's something that we should look back on now and try to figure out what happened and try to rectify it. 'We were over 10 points up and they got it back to four, and it just put pressure on things and we shouldn't allow that to happen. "But we responded well, and Mossy got the goal at the end to finish the game. 'We targeted the Leinster final of course, it makes life a lot easier instead of going through the back door - and a Leinster final is one you want to win.' Reid scored his fifth championship goal this summer to bag his 14th provincial medal. Croke Park goals are always sweet - and his green flag ended a super team move when Keoghan fed him and Reid did the rest. But he knows team performances are what matter most as they head into the last four along with newly-crowned Munster champions Cork. TIME TO BLOSSOM He said: 'Croke Park is where you want to be blossoming and turned over a ball again, through hard work from Stevie Donnelly. 'I think it was John Donnelly; both of them combined and then Mossie broke onto it and I peed away from Daithí Burke. 'And again, look, it's all about team play and team work. and Mossie saw me inside and popped it to me. 'Every team tries to be efficient and to pick the player in the best position. and if you see it, give it - don't hesitate, if he's ten yards in a better position you always try to feed him. 'I'm around a while so it could be 14 but look, it's all about being present and winning the next one.'

The three-story English manor-style house was reportedly under renovation. It is located right behind the home of Barack Obama, drawing extra public attention to the incident. The blaze started around 6 am on the 2400 block of Kalorama Road, just hours after firefighters had put out a smaller fire at the same home the night before. STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD According to a report from Fox5, the first fire broke out around 9:30 pm on Monday and was limited to the first floor. DC Fire and EMS Chief John Donnelly said it was caused by an electrical issue. But by Tuesday morning, a second, much larger fire broke out, quickly turning into a two-alarm emergency. The flames spread through the entire building, and about 125 firefighters and 30 units were called in to fight the blaze. During the response, one firefighter fell into an elevator shaft, triggering a mayday alert. He was rescued by fellow firefighters and taken to the hospital as a precaution, Donnelly said.

Officials to give an update on the investigation into the deadly air collision
WASHINGTON (WMBD) — Officials briefed the media Friday afternoon on recovery efforts, saying 41 bodies have been removed from the Potomac River, two days after a mid-air collision between a U.S. Army helicopter and American Airlines flight. Of those, positive identification has been made on 28 people. Next of kind notifications have been made to 18 families, said Washington DC Fire and EMS Chief John Donnelly, Jr. Recovery efforts will continue but Donnelly said the airliner's fuselage would have to be removed from the river before more bodies could be recovered. A salvage company, he said, was on its way to the site as ere more assets from the U.S. Coast Guard. The comments come less than two days after PSA Airlines Bombardier CRJ700 airplane and a Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter collided just as the airliner was to land at Ronald Reagan National Airport. Sixty-four people — 60 passengers and four crew members — were aboard the commercial jet while three soldiers were on board the helicopter. Since the crash, airspace for helicopters around the airport has been restricted and Terry Liercke, vice president and manager at Reagan National Airport, said two of the airport's three runaways are closed as they would send planes over the crash site. He told reporters he expected them to be closed for at least a week, maybe more. He urged people who had flights to contact the airline for updates. Donnelly said rescue workers are used to working in the elements and expected all people who died in the crash to be recovered at some point. This story will be updated. _________________________________________________________________________ WASHINGTON (WMBD) — Officials are to soon hold a news conference with the latest update on the plane crash from earlier this week that killed 67 people. Also expected to be at the press briefing will be Washington DC Fire and EMS Chief John Donnelly, Sr. as is the vice manager of Ronald Reagan National Airport. WMBD will carry the news conference live and update this story when it is completed. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved. New Videos More Clearly Show Helicopter Colliding With Passenger Plane
Two new videos have emerged capturing Wednesday's midair collision of a passenger plane with a military helicopter in Washington, D.C., offering a clearer view of the catastrophe that killed 67 people. The videos obtained by CNN and verified by NBC News appear to show American Airlines Flight 5342 descending into Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport as the Army Black Hawk helicopter travels straight into it. A massive explosion results, sending both aircraft plunging into the Potomac River below. See the videos below: A spokesperson for the airport declined to confirm or comment to HuffPost on the footage. Federal investigators have said that they have recovered the plane's black boxes, which record flight data and cockpit communications, though as of Friday the helicopter's black box remained unaccounted for. D.C. Fire Chief John Donnelly, speaking at a press conference Friday afternoon, said 41 bodies have been recovered from the crash site and 28 of them have been positively identified. The plane's fuselage will likely have to be removed to recover the remaining bodies.
