The tragic incident happened on Burnhead Road in Blairgowie, Perthshire this morning. Emergency workers were scrambled to the scene after the alarm was raised. Tragically the woman, 54, was pronounced dead at the scene. Cops are now probing the tragedy and have issued an appeal for information. Anyone who might be able to offer a clue which can help the probe has been urged to get in touch. Investigators are particularly keen to speak with drivers who were in the area at the time. Sergeant John McDiarmid said: "Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the woman who died. 'Our enquiries into the circumstances continue and I would appeal to anyone who either witnessed the crash or who has any information that may assist us to please come forward. "I would also ask anyone who was in the area at the time and may have dash-cam footage which could assist to contact us." A Police Scotland spokesperson added: "Road policing officers are appealing for information following a fatal road crash in Blairgowrie on Wednesday, 23 July, 2025.
