2011 Indiana Miss Basketball among Indiana Fever broadcasters for 2025 WNBA season
The 2025 Indiana Fever season is nearly here. Indiana starts with a preseason matchup against the Washington Mystics on May 3. A day later, the Fever will take on the Brazil National Team in Iowa. On May 2, the Fever announced its TV and radio broadcast teams for the upcoming WNBA season. This season, the Fan will be the Fever's official radio broadcast partner, according to a release. 'We're thrilled to bring the Indiana Fever to the airwaves on The Fan, which has a strong reputation for their top-tier sports coverage and commentary,' PS&E CEO Mel Raines said. 'This partnership is an exciting way for us to make Fever basketball more accessible and grow our fanbase across Indiana and beyond.' The radio broadcast team will be made up of John Nolan and Bria Goss. Goss is an Indianapolis native and was the 2011 Miss Basketball winner for Ben Davis.

'Determined to prove its potential, I went on a quest to find the best team to conduct scientific research,' he said. Soon after, he forged a lasting partnership with SETU's NRCI, led by Professor John Nolan. 'The credibility of our work relied on independent verification, and that's what drew me to Professor John Nolan and his team at NRCI,' he continued. By then, Nolan had successfully secured the prestigious ERC fellowship (Crest) along with several other key projects supported by national (ie Health Research Board, Enterprise Ireland) and international (European Research Council) funding bodies. In addition, support from the Howard Foundation UK, under the leadership of the late Dr Alan Howard (Honorary Fellow at SETU) allowed for the continued development of research projects at the NRCI. This research – with a value now in excess of €10 million –was key to the NRCI developing underpinning intellectual property (IP). The technology transfer team within the university has provided ongoing support to enable the identification, protection and commercialisation of this IP. Research integrity is a key pillar of the work of SETU's NRCI and this has enabled the team to build a world-class reputation as leaders in the field of nutrition for AMD and Alzheimer's disease. The NRCI agreed to work with Frédéric and his colleagues, with the understanding that they would conduct their analysis and publish their findings independently, without any influence from the French-born entrepreneur. 'Whether the results were positive, negative, or neutral, their integrity would remain intact, and the results would be published exactly as found. This commitment to transparency was precisely what I sought in a research partner,' Jouhet explained. 'Through rigorous testing, we discovered that our initial formulation lacked stability. While this meant incinerating our first batch, it ultimately led to the development of a far superior product – one that was not only stable but also demonstrated benefits for patients with AMD and improvements in visual performance. That's how the relationship started, and we have been working together ever since.' Together, they have dedicated 18 years to studying the patented carotenoid formula and testing of numerous products under the MacuHealth brand, setting new standards in the supplement industry. 'We provided the product, and the research team evaluated it. What began as an investigation into eye health expanded into new frontiers, including visual performance in athletes and cognitive function in Alzheimer's patients,' said Jouhet. Support provided by the Howard Foundation over this time allowed for further research and development, leading to many novel major patents in the field of visual performance and Alzheimer's disease. 'The products that we formulate can have a positive impact on people's health, but that is also the reason why we don't cut corners,' he said. 'Our first patients were close family members. From the beginning it felt like a crusade to improve the lives of our loved ones rather than a business venture. 'That brings a lot more legitimacy and responsibility to make it work.' Jouhet says that basing his company at the SETU Xcelerate Centre on SETU's West Campus in Waterford was a logical decision. MacuHealth's operations span across Ireland, the UK, Europe, and Eastern Europe, making Ireland a strategic location. The incubation centre is the home to approximately 30 companies and a variety of training programmes and supports which make it a dynamic eco-system for engagement between companies and the university. His products have the benefit of SETU spin-out company Supplement Certified's quality assurance mark. The ISO and third-party laboratory testing process ensures that MacuHealth's customers receive a product backed by proven science and maintained at the highest standards of stability and efficacy. 'More importantly, our collaboration with SETU and NRCI research team here is fundamental to our success,' he added. ‘The Rookie' Renewed For Season 8 At ABC
Nathan Fillion's John Nolan may be getting older, but the cops are staying the same age as The Rookie has been renewed for Season 8. It comes as part of a slew of renewals for ABC, which also revealed that it is bringing back Grey's Anatomy for Season 22, 9-1-1 for its ninth season and third on ABC, Will Trent for Season 4 and Shifting Gears for its second season. The cop drama has also been performing well on streamer Hulu. The show, which is expected to have 18 episodes, per sources, follows John Nolan, once the oldest rookie in the LAPD, who has used his life experience, determination and sense of humor to keep up with rookies 20 years his junior. Now recovering from a gunshot wound and feeling the effects of his age, John and the team welcome two new rookies and continue the hunt for two dangerous escaped prisoners who have very personal vendettas. New rookies Deric Augustine, who plays Miles Penn, and Patrick Keleher, who plays Seth Ridley, join Mekia Cox as Nyla Harper, Alyssa Diaz as Angela Lopez, Richard T. Jones as Sergeant Wade Grey, Melissa O'Neil as Lucy Chen, Eric Winter as Tim Bradford, Jenna Dewan as Bailey Nune, Shawn Ashmore as Wesley Evers and Lisseth Chavez as Celina Juarez. It's not clear whether The Rookie will remain as a midseason show; the first two seasons of the show, which premiered in 2018, aired in October and September, respectively, before moving to January in 2020, largely as a result of the Covid pandemic. Seasons four and five premiered in September, before it moved to midseason with a shortened sixth season – thanks, in part due to the strikes – with season seven getting a January premiere with an 18-episode order. It's not clear how many episodes The Rookie will have for season eight. The Rookie is also the subject of a new spinoff in the works from creator Alexi Hawley. It would be the show's second after The Rookie: Feds, which ran for one season. The show is produced by Lionsgate Television in partnership with 20th Television. Hawley exec produces alongside Mark Gordon, Nathan Fillion, Michelle Chapman, Bill Norcross and Brynn Malone.
