A representative of the program, John Olszowk, said this was the first time the women have been able to engage in technology.
'Today, you can't get around without learning how to navigate the technology. So, I think it helps them as they begin to assimilate to living in the Erie community, become sort of vibrant community members and begin to adjust and begin to contribute,' said Olszowk.
The program was awarded a $100,000 state grant that went towards laptops and computers with the creation of a computer lab.
