Dance your cares away when ‘Fraggle Rock Live' comes to Springfield
DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A stage adaptation of one of a beloved Jim Henson TV series is coming to Clark State College this March. The school will present 'Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock Live' on Sunday, March 23, at 3 p.m. at its Performing Arts Center. Written, directed and choreographed by Broadway's John Tartaglia, 'Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock Live' takes viewers on a journey through the caves of Fraggle Rock and beyond. Focusing on characters from the television series, the musical follows the Fraggles on a hunt to find the pieces of the legendary Celebration Stone. Local art gallery celebrating successes of Dayton Art Fair Weekend ''Fraggle Rock' is a world of silliness, hope, optimism, kindness and above all, fun. As a lifelong fan, I have loved creating this new stage show for families to experience the joy of Fraggle Rock,' said Tartaglia. 'I've also enjoyed adding special moments that dedicated fans will love. We can't wait to welcome everyone to Fraggle Rock.' The show features new exclusive puppets from Jim Henson's Creature Shop. There are new walk-around versions of the Fraggles, mechanized Doozers and giant Gorgs.
