OPEN// PM reiterates Egypt's backing of reform measures in Tunisia
SEVILLE, Spain, June 30 (MENA) - Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli reiterated Egypt's full support for all reform measures taken by Tunisian President Kais Saied to preserve Tunisian institutions and achieve stability, security and sustainable development for the country. Madbouli made the comments during his meeting on Monday with Tunisian Prime Minister Sarra Zaafrani, on the sidelines of their participation in the 4th International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD4), which is held from June 30 to July 3 in Seville, Spain. The premier expressed Egypt's appreciation of the distinguished relations with Tunisia, citing the identical views of the two countries' political leaderships with regard to the most prominent common challenges at the domestic, regional and international levels. On her part, the Tunisian prime minister commended the great achievements witnessed by Egypt in the urban development field, which was exemplified in the construction of the New Administrative Capital and other mega projects. Zaafrani underlined the importance of promoting Tunisian-Egyptian relations to higher prospects. Madbouli said Egypt looks forward to strengthening ties with Tunisia, especially as the upcoming session of the Egyptian-Tunisian Joint High Committee is set to convene in Cairo in September under the leadership of both countries' prime ministers. He also voiced Egypt's hope for holding a joint business forum on the sidelines of the Egyptian-Tunisian Joint High Committee meeting, with the participation of senior businessmen and representatives of business associations, industrial federations and chambers of commerce from both countries, with the aim of enhancing trade exchange and joint investments. Egypt : A message from President Al-Sissi to King Mohammed VI
On Wednesday in Rabat, the Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Bourita, received his Egyptian counterpart, Badr Abdelatty, who delivered a written message to King from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, according to a statement from Moroccan diplomacy. Badr Abdelatty underscored Egypt's commitment to strengthening relations with Morocco across various sectors. He expressed Egypt's desire to reinvigorate bilateral ties by organizing the Joint High Committee in Cairo and holding a session of the Coordination and Consultation Mechanism between the foreign ministers of both countries, as stated by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Egyptian minister also praised the success of the Egypt-Morocco Business Forum, held on May 4 in Cairo, which brought together 148 companies, including 74 Egyptian and 31 Moroccan firms. He announced that the Joint Trade Committee is scheduled to meet in October in Cairo. The two ministers also discussed several regional issues, notably the situation in Gaza. In this context, Badr Abdelatty commended the King of Morocco's presidency of the Al-Quds Committee and the committee's efforts in support of the Palestinian cause, according to the same source. For context, Nasser Bourita had met with his Egyptian counterpart on the sidelines of the extraordinary Arab summit on Palestine, held on March 4 in Cairo. Badr Abdelatty also paid a working visit to Mauritania on May 26 and 27.

Committee for Libya Africa Transit Corridors Project convened with Niger Chargé d'affaires – agree to develop MoU
The Libya Africa Investment Portfolio (LAIP) reported yesterday that its Joint High Committee for the Libya Africa Transit Corridors convened last Tuesday (20 May) with the Chargé d'affaires of the Republic of Niger's Embassy to Libya to discuss project cooperation. Attendees comprised the committee head, who serves as Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport for Land Transport Affairs, alongside the Director of Strategic Planning at the Libya Africa Investment Portfolio and the Director General of the Land Transport Authority. A representative from the International Cooperation Department at Libya's Ministry of Foreign Affairs also participated. The committee outlined the project's components and strategic objectives, emphasising its intended economic and social impact across Libya, Niger, and the broader African continent through improved trans-Saharan trade and regional connectivity. LAIP reported that Niger's Chargé d'affaires responded positively to the proposal, noting Libya's decision to route a strategic pathway through Niger. Both parties agreed to develop a Memorandum of Understanding as an initial framework for bilateral cooperation on the project. LAIP said the Libya Africa Transit Corridors Project forms part of Libya's strategy to strengthen regional connections with neighbouring African nations. Implementation plans feature two primary routes: Misrata-Tamanhint-Agadez (Niger) and Benghazi-Kufra-Sudan. .
