Saudi Gazette report LONDON — Saudi Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud signed a series of security agreements with his British counterpart, Yvette Cooper, during an official visit to London aimed at strengthening future cooperation between the two countries. The meeting, held under the directives of Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, focused on a wide range of internal security issues. Both sides discussed areas of mutual interest between their respective ministries of interior and affirmed their commitment to enhancing strategic cooperation. Prince Abdulaziz stated on X: 'Today, in the Joint Security Committee meeting of the Saudi-British Cooperation Program (JPO), we discussed the agenda items and signed several agreements as part of our strategic partnership and ongoing collaboration in all security fields.' He emphasized that the meeting reflects the Kingdom's commitment to advancing security ties with the UK, particularly in combating organized crime in all its forms and in facilitating the exchange of expertise and best practices between professionals in both countries. The minister also highlighted the ongoing progress in bilateral security cooperation, citing the signed agreements as a foundation for deeper joint efforts in line with the ambitions of both governments.

Pakistan, Bahrain vow to boost security cooperation

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Bahrain have resolved to further strengthen their security collaboration in various fields, Pakistani state media reported on Saturday. The consensus was reached during a meeting between Pakistan's Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and his Bahraini counterpart, General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al-Khalifa, in Manama. The two sides held discussions on bilateral cooperation in counter-terrorism, combating human trafficking and anti-narcotics efforts as well as to make Pakistan-Bahrain Joint Security Committee more effective. 'Enhancing cooperation in counter-narcotics and anti-human trafficking efforts is the need of the hour,' Naqvi was quoted as saying by the Radio Pakistan broadcaster. The Bahraini interior minister said his country valued Pakistan's cooperation in security and other fields. Bahrain is one of the important countries in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), and a favorite destination for the Pakistani workforce since the early 1970s, according to the Pakistani foreign ministry. Both countries have a Joint Ministerial Commission (JMC) at the level of the foreign ministers and a trade volume that has ranged between $500 million and $1 billion in recent years.

Qatar-Iraq Joint Security Committee meets in Baghdad

BAGHDAD: As part of efforts to enhance joint security cooperation, the first meeting of the Joint Security Committee between the Ministries of Interior of the State of Qatar and the Republic of Iraq was held in Baghdad from May 5 to 7. The Qatari delegation was headed by Director of the Human Resources Department Maj Gen Khalifa Nasr Al Nasr, while the Iraqi side was led by Advisor to the Minister of Interior Lt Gen Ziyad Taha Ali. The two sides discussed several items on the agenda and signed the minutes of the joint meeting. The Ministry's delegation also met with Iraq's Minister of Interior HE General Abdul Amir Kamel Al Shammari, and visited a number of security departments under the Iraqi Ministry of Interior.
