Nick Jonas opens up on how his father's cancer battle united the family
American singer Nick Jonas recently shared how his father Kevin Jonas Sr's cancer diagnosis in 2017 was a tough time for their family but also brought them closer. He said the experience taught them the importance of staying strong and supporting each an interview with People, Nick said, '(The) more emotionally challenging periods really test your endurance. But (our dad) was just such a champion and so brave through our whole process. It (was) with such thoughtfulness that I think it helped all of us a lot and provided us with the encouragement we needed when, in fact, we were just trying to support him.'advertisementHe further added that such experiences affect everyone differently, but the family emerged stronger. 'I'm so grateful that we have gotten to the other side of that and become closer as a family and stronger,' Nick said, as reported by Kevin Jonas was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2017 but has been in remission since the professional front, the Jonas Brothers - Nick, Kevin, and Joe - announced their 'JONAS20: Living the Dream Tour' earlier this year. Reflecting on their musical journey, Nick shared, 'It's aged very well. It's one of those things where we've looked out and seen the fan base really evolve and change and there's sort of a generational aspect to it now when you think about it."He noted that their longtime fans, who were teens during their early tours, now attend shows with their own children. 'The people who were our age back when we were teens touring and making music are our age now, and they've grown up, and they're bringing their kids to the shows, but their parents that brought them when they were in their youth still want to come.'Outside of music, Nick also delighted fans with a heartwarming reel on Instagram from a beach holiday with wife Priyanka Chopra Jonas. Set to the Jonas Brothers' new song 'I Can't Lose,' the video begins with Nick alone on a beach and a sad face emoji caption saying 'Without her.' Kevin Jonas says he lost 90% of his fortune amid Jonas Brothers hiatus

The 37-year-old New Jersey native and eldest JoBro appeared with his brothers this week on Lewis Howes' The School Of Greatness podcast, where he said he was left with just 10% of his fortune mere years into their hiatus. 'I've seen the beginning of financial success, not knowing what money really was and understanding it to … losing almost all of it,' Jonas said, attributing the latter to 'a bad business deal.' Jonas explained that roughly nine years ago, he lost nearly all of his money after investing the bulk into 'a bunch of property and doing other things and I was building at the time.' 'Sadly, it just wasn't the right partnership,' Jonas said, noting he couldn't get 'too much into' the details of the deal. 'We had a second shot, bite at the apple, with the band coming back together,' he added of their 2019 reunion. 'And it actually was kind of fortuitous in a way. I learned this lesson, never wanted to learn it but I did.' The group — which also includes brothers Joe, 35, and Nick, 32 — is currently gearing up for the release of its new album, Greetings From Your Hometown , dropping Aug 8, and a North American tour kicking off two days later. – New York Daily News/Tribune News Service
