Stranger Things 5 teaser: Vecna returns to Hawkins and stakes have never been higher
Netflix has finally dropped the curtain-raiser on the fifth and final season of its cultural juggernaut 'Stranger Things', and it's every bit as nostalgic, emotional, and ominous as fans had hoped. The teaser trailer, unveiled during the Tudum fan event in Los Angeles, sets the tone for an unforgettable conclusion to the series that redefined 1980s sci-fi horror for a new finale will unfold in three parts: Volume 1 arrives on November 26, followed by Volume 2 on December 25, and a grand finale on December 31, closing out the year - and the saga - with one last the heart of the teaser is Jonathan Byers, whose voiceover captures the emotional backbone of the series: 'After what we've been through, this thing, it ties us together forever.' It's a reminder of just how far these characters - and viewers - have come since the lights first flickered in Hawkins. Visually, the trailer hints at a season packed with high stakes and heartbreak. Hawkins is scarred by the opening of the Rifts, and our heroes are united by a single goal: find and kill Vecna. But he has vanished - his whereabouts and plans unknown.'The town is now under military lockdown, while the government intensifies its search for Eleven, forcing her into hiding once again. It's all come down to this. The final season of Netflix's smash hit 'Stranger Things' premieres later this year. On Saturday night, Netflix announced when the final episodes of one of their most-watched television series ever will premiere. [DOWNLOAD: Free WSB-TV News app for alerts as news breaks] The first group of episodes, which they call Volume 1, will hit the streaming platform on Wednesday, Nov. 26 at 8 p.m. Volume 2 premieres at 8 p.m. on Christmas Day. But you'll get to close out 'Stranger Things' and 2025 around the same time because the series finale will premiere at 8 p.m. on New Year's Eve.
