Fox News commentator Camryn Kinsey faints live on air

A Fox News broadcast took a frightful turn when a host collapsed live on air. During a "Fox News @ Night" segment May 8 discussing recent remarks from former President Joe Biden, political commentator Camryn Kinsey appeared to lose her train of thought before slipping from consciousness and falling from her chair. "This is about incompetency, it's not about uh, uh, ideology," she said, referencing recent comments made by Biden suggesting his successor Kamala Harris lost the 2024 election due to sexism in the Republican party. The "uhs" continued as she struggled to find her words, then she collapsed from her chair, falling to the studio floor. Host Jonathan Hunt reacted with surprise as crew members ran out to help, saying: "Oh my goodness, we're just going to get some help here for Camryn." He then attempted to throw the segment back to another commentator before, clearly flustered, deciding instead to go to commercial break. Hunt later viewers that she had regained consciousness. "We want to give you a quick update. Camryn is up and moving," he told viewers after the commercial break. "We have paramedics checking her. We will keep you updated. We wish her all the best." In a post to X on May 9, Kinsey addressed the incident, saying she was thankful for the kindness of Fox staff during a "frightening" moment. "Wow, sorry for the scare last night. I want to start by thanking the incredible Fox News team and the EMTs who responded with such speed and care," she wrote. "It was an unexpected and frightening moment, but thanks to their professionalism and kindness, I'm doing well." "To everyone who has called, texted, prayed, or checked in, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your support has meant the world. I'm taking it slow, staying hydrated, letting my body rest, and thanking the Lord that everything is okay," she continued. "It may not have been how I planned to end the segment, but I'll be back on your TV soon. Hopefully long enough to finally finish my point about Kamala!" Fox echoed that sentiment in a statement shared with USA TODAY May 9. "After 'Fox News @ Night' guest Camryn Kinsey fainted during a live on-air appearance last night in our Los Angeles bureau, paramedics were called and she was treated and cleared," a Fox News spokesperson wrote. "We are happy to hear she is now feeling much better and wish her a speedy recovery." Kinsey, who appears sometimes as a political pundit on Fox, briefly served as the external relations director in the White House presidential personnel office under President Donald Trump. Serving for six months during Trump's first term, she went on to work as a White House correspondent and reporter at One America News Network, a far-right political news channel. Fox guest who fainted on-air shares update

Political commentator Camryn Kinsey has provided an update after her fainting spell on Fox News Thursday night. Kinsey - who had been Fox News @ Night when she suffered the scare - said she is now 'doing well' in a post to X. 'Wow, sorry for the scare last night,' the former Donald Trump staffer began, before thanking those at Fox and the EMTs who rushed to her aide. '[They all] responded with such speed and care,' the 24-year-old internet personality said. Kinsey called the still-unexplained episode 'unexpected and frightening', while also thanking those who have shown her 'professionalism and kindness'. ' To everyone who has called, texted, prayed, or checked in, thank you from the bottom of my heart,' she wrote, adding, 'Your support has meant the world.' 'I'm taking it slow, staying hydrated, letting my body rest, and thanking the Lord that everything is okay,' Kinsey continued, before cutting the tension with a joke. 'It may not have been how I planned to end the segment, but I'll be back on your TV soon. Hopefully long enough to finally finish my point about Kamala!' Hours before, Kinsey had been speaking on the ideological differences between the current president and Joe Biden when she suddenly started stumbling over her words. 'Ideology is where... It's not about uh,' she said, starting to show clear signs of distress. Within seconds, she was on the floor - leaving host Jonathan Hunt stunned. 'Oh! Oh my goodness,' he said, seen rushing out of his seat as a crew member rushed also rushed to Kinsey's aide. He then turned to the camera to address the audience - before quickly cutting to commercial. Amid the chaos, the scary scene unfolded just off-camera. When the program returned, Kinsey was gone - at this point being treated by paramedics. A Fox News spokesperson would not specify whether she was brought to a hospital, but did say that after Kinsey fainted, paramedics were called to the LA studio where Fox News @ Night films before she was 'treated and cleared'. 'We are happy to hear she is now feeling much better and wish her a speedy recovery,' the rep said in a statement. It remains unclear what may have caused Kinsey to suddenly faint. According to her LinkedIn profile, Kinsey is a political commentator who runs Titan Media Strategies. She was also a former White House correspondent for One America News Network. She is from Kentucky, and previously dated well-known MAGA influencer Alex Bruesewitz, who collapsed on stage during an appearance at a Republican event in New York City. 'I'm forgetting my words,' he said on stage at the 112th New York Young Republicans Club Gala in December, before freezing for a moment and falling to the side. The crowd responded with gasps as others rushed to his aide. The incident was dismissed at the time as 'a brief fainting spell.' 'I know that Alex is going to be fine because he's a tough son of a gun,' Kinsey's old boss, Trump, said at the time, labeling Bruesewitz 'a very special guy.' He has had no health scares since, and Kinney has since pinned her explanatory post to the top of her profile. There, she has more than 224,000 followers. She was posting about the new pope being elected just hours before her spell. has reached out to Fox News for more information. Want more stories like this from the Daily Mail?
