Parish welcomes new rector to serve three churches
A new rector is set to take over a parish after a period of vacancy.
The Reverend Jonathon Westall has been appointed to serve Milton parish, which covers the churches of St Mary Magdalene in New Milton, St Peter's in Ashley, and St John's in Bashley.
The parish has been without a rector since May 2023, following the retirement of Reverend Andrew Bailey.
Rev Westall, who is moving to New Milton with his wife Rachel, will officially be inducted and instituted on September 16 at 7pm.

Speaking about his new role, Rev Westall said: "I am delighted to have been appointed Rector of Milton.
"Rachel and I are are looking forward to making our home in such a beautiful part of the country.
"I also look forward to getting to know the local community and finding out how the church can continue to work alongside its friends and neighbours."
