Swans superboot 'sends' it for longest goal ever

After booting the longest recorded goal in history, Sydney VFL talent Jordan Endemann craves to be much more than a one-kick wonder. Just the second torpedo Endemann had attempted in a game ended up being the biggest known kick ever, turning the 21-year-old into an instant social media sensation. The extraordinary goal was measured at 100.2 metres in Saturday's VFL game against Coburg. Due to come off the ground as part of his rotation, Endemann launched into an audacious spiral kick from half-back. He had already made his way to the bench when the ball bounced, through. "I have a pretty big kick, and I was just like 'why don't I just send one?'," Endemann told AAP. "I didn't mean it to go all the way in ... that's why you can't see me celebrating after because I was actually off the field. "I felt it soar off the boot, but I didn't realise actually how close it was. "I thought one of the boys touched it in near the goal, but obviously I can't see from where I was, and then the crowd just started cheering. "A lot of people I haven't spoken to in years and years, and then some random people have sent me messages (on social media) ... which has been pretty funny." A long-time Swans academy prospect, the early stages of Endemann's career have been beset by injury. He has dealt with ankle and calf issues, as well as a broken jaw. In 2022, Endemann missed most of the season after suffering a freak punctured lung that doctors could only explain was to do with the frame of his body. "I was in a hotel room the night before a game ... it felt like a heart attack," Endemann said. "They made me do all these tests before the game, and then it was still hurting. "I flew back the next morning, and then on the plane it felt like the worst pain ever." But the prodigious sporting talent, who helped Australia win the Oztag World Cup last year after playing in the NSW under-18s touch side, is not giving up on his dream of making it to the AFL. Now that he's finally fully fit, Endemann just wants an opportunity. But after letting his manager go, he didn't know he needed to nominate again for the mid-season rookie draft, which will be held on Wednesday night. "Playing at the highest level has always been a dream so I'd head wherever," he said. Now in his 10th year at the Swans after starting at their academy as an 11-year-old, Endemann was named best-on ground for AFL Sydney in a representative game against AFL Canberra earlier this month. Now he just wants a crack in the big time - and he will play anywhere. "I feel pretty versatile," Endemann said. "VFL wise, they normally play me as a forward. Sometimes in the midfield and the last couple of weeks in Sydney footy I've been playing off half-back. "Wherever they want to play me, I'll play." Longest goal ever seen leaves footy world in sheer disbelief

The longest goal you're ever likely to see in a game of footy has been kicked. In the opening quarter of the VFL clash between Coburg and Sydney, it was Swans player Jordan Endemann who delivered the absurd scenes. FOX FOOTY, available on Kayo Sports, is the only place to watch every match of every round in the 2025 Toyota AFL Premiership Season LIVE in 4K, with no ad-breaks during play. New to Kayo? The kick was unloaded from just inside the back end of the centre square and quickly sailed out of view of the camera as it soared through the air. As the camera panned toward Sydney's forward 50, Swans forward Jack Buller turned and began sprinting back towards goal. The ball came back into view, landing around 25-30m from the goals. But the journey wasn't over there as it rolled end on end, beating out Buller and Coburg defender Rhys Galvin as it bounced through for a goal. Watch the truly absurd goal in the video player above The moment was quickly uploaded to all corners of the internet with footy fans losing their minds over what they'd just seen unfold. Code Sports' Lachlan McKirdy wrote on X: 'Excuse me?? This feels illegal.' The Age's Peter Ryan wrote: 'Had to have a ping from there! Ridiculous.' Lenny Phillips wrote: 'Gotta be f***ing kidding.' The official AFL account added: 'Our jaws are on the FLOOR.' Another fan wrote: 'That's gone around 100 metres I reckon.' One added: 'Longest goal ever easily.' One fan tried to figure out the actual distance of the goal by deploying Google Maps. His calculations, while stating he wasn't claiming 100 per cent accuracy, had the goal measuring in at 109m. While Endemann stole the limelight, it was the only bright spot on the day for the Swans. After Sydney kicked the opening three goals of the contest, Coburg flipped the script by kicking 11 of the final 16 goals. Coburg took the lead midway through the second quarter and never looked back as they secured the 11.23 (89) to 8.9 (57) victory. The win is Coburg's second straight and takes them to 4-4, while the loss sinks the Swans into even further turmoil with their record sitting at a paltry 1-7. A few more 100m bombs from Endemann might be the only way to turn things around.

AFL fans have been left reeling after an astonishing goal in the VFL that many are claiming to be the longest ever. Sydney player Jordan Endemann delivered the moment, kicking an absurd goal against Coburg at Barry Plant Park. Endemann received the ball on the back flank after a turnover and decided to unleash a booming torpedo from his own half. Two players did their best to chase, but the ball eventually bounced through for a goal. Fans at the park cheered and the incredible act was quickly uploaded to social media where fans debated if it was the longest goal in Australian football history. AFL fans lose it over ‘longest goal ever' by Sydney VFL player Jordan Endemann

AFL fans are losing their collective minds over an incredible goal in the VFL that could lay claims to be the longest ever. Sydney VFL player Jordan Endemann is the man with the superboot, kicking a goal against Coburg at Barry Plant Park that has left many people scratching their heads. WATCH THE VIDEO ABOVE: Endemann kicks incredible 100m goal. When Endemann got the ball on the wing, just about in line with the backside of centre square, it seemed impossible for what was about to unfold. With no obvious option, he just unloaded a torpedo to get it out of danger. The ball must have travelled at least 75m in the air, clearing the only two players, who were stationed at about the 50m line. The ball then took a fortuitous bounce and just kept going towards goals. The two players chased hard, but the ball just kept going and eventually crossed the goalline. A clip of the goal quickly went viral on social media with fans losing it. 'Holy Cow That is HUUUUGGGEEEE!!' One fan said. 'That's gone around 100 metres i reckon,' another said. 'Longest goal ever easily,' another added. 'This will never be defeated,' another said. 'New nickname for him: End-to-Endemann,' a clever fan said. One fan used Google Maps to try and predict the length of the kick. The result showed 109m, although it wouldn't be 100 per cent accurate. The goal gave the Swans an early 17-point advantage, but Coburg fought back to eventually claim a 32-point win. Endemann, 21, was a member of the Swans Academy but was overlooked in the drafts.
