8.8 Billion Dinars in Transactions via "CliQ" in First Half of 2025 The total value of electronic payment transactions processed through the CliQ instant payment system reached 1.6 billion Jordanian dinars in June, marking a slight decline of 2.2% compared to May's 1.64 billion dinars, according to data from Jordan Payments and Clearing Company (JoPACC). اضافة اعلان The number of transactions in June stood at approximately 13.9 million, down by 4.7% from the previous month. Since the start of 2025, the system has recorded 70.66 million transactions, with a total value of 8.8 billion dinars. Growing User Base The number of CliQ users in Jordan grew to 1.88 million by the end of June, reflecting a 1.7% increase. Of these, 96.2% (1.81 million users) are Jordanian nationals, while 3.8% (71,800 users) are from other nationalities. Men represent the majority of users at 62%, compared to 35.1% for women. The most active demographic is youth aged 18 to 30, who dominate transaction volumes and frequency. Nature of Transactions The majority of transactions (by value) were money transfers, accounting for 84.9%, while purchases made up 15.1%. The average transaction value in June rose to 122 dinars, compared to 119 dinars in May. About CliQ Launched in 2020 by JoPACC, CliQ is the latest real-time payment system in Jordan. It allows instant transfers between bank accounts across participating banks and mobile wallets. These figures reflect significant progress in Jordan's digital payment infrastructure, underscoring the country's move toward a secure and efficient digital economy in line with global technological trends. In 2024, CliQ processed 83.9 million transactions worth 12.1 billion dinars.

Ammon News - The value of electronic payment transactions via "CliQ service" reached JD1.6 billion during June, a slight decrease of 2.2% compared to May, when the value reached JD1.64 billion, according to statistics from the Jordan Payments and Clearing Company (JoPACC). Data indicates that approximately 13.9 million transactions were recorded last month, a decrease of 4.7%. Since the beginning of 2025, the number of CliQ transactions executed over the past six months has reached 70.66 million, with a total value of JD8.8 billion. As for the user base, the number of CliQ users in Jordan rose to 1.88 million, a 1.7% increase over June. 96.2% of CliQ users are Jordanian, with Jordanians comprising 1.81 million users, while the number of users of other nationalities reached 71.8 thousand, representing 3.8%, according to statistics. The data revealed that the largest percentage of CliQ users in Jordan are males, at 62%, compared to approximately 35.1% of females. Youth aged 18 to 30 are the most active segment using the service. In terms of the nature of transactions, money transfers accounted for 84.9% of the total value of CliQ transactions, while purchases via CliQ accounted for 15.1%. The report indicates that the average CliQ transaction in June amounted to JD122, an increase from JD119 in May. CliQ is Jordan's newest Instant Payment System that was launched by JoPACC in 2020. The system enables sending and receiving money between bank accounts across all participating banks in Jordan instantly and to and from any mobile wallet. Participating banks have integrated CliQ into their mobile banking offering, making the system's services easily accessible.

Decline in "eFAWATEERcom" Payment Transactions The "eFAWATEERcom" electronic payment system recorded a noticeable decline in both the number and value of transactions executed during May 2025 compared to the previous month. The number of transactions dropped to 5.76 million, while the total transaction value fell to 1.13 billion dinars, representing a 27.8% decrease. اضافة اعلان According to the monthly report issued by the Jordan Payments and Clearing Company (JoPACC), the total number of transactions processed through eFAWATEERcom since the beginning of the year reached 29.38 million, with a cumulative value of 6.37 billion dinars. The report showed a significant 11.8% decrease in the number of transactions in May, down from 6.54 million in April and compared to 5.5 million in March. In terms of transaction value, there was also a 27.8% decline, with 1.13 billion dinars in May, compared to 1.57 billion in April, and the same as 1.13 billion in March. Despite the drop in transactions, the number of eFAWATEERcom users saw a slight increase in May, reaching 4.73 million, up from 4.68 million in April and 4.65 million in March, marking a 0.9% increase. New users in May totaled 40,200 (0.9%), while existing users amounted to 4.68 million (99.1%). The report also indicated that 620 billers are currently registered with eFAWATEERcom, offering 2,138 different services. Transaction distribution by category showed that: Telecommunications topped the list with 1.924 million transactions, Followed by water and electricity with 1.636 million, Government services with 1.043 million, Digital wallets and payment service providers with 527,000, Finance and financial services with 302,000, Education with 98,000, Transport and travel with 49,000, Trade and general services with 37,000, Unions and organizations with 33,000, Gas and energy with 26,000. As for payment methods: 82.1% of transactions (4.73 million) were made through digital payments, 17.9% (1.03 million) were completed using cash payments. In terms of value: Government services led May's payments with 676 million dinars, Followed by digital wallets and PSPs with 245 million, Water and electricity with 63 million, Finance and financial services with 45 million, Telecommunications with 31 million, Education with 19 million, Banks, gas and energy, and trade and services each with 13 million, Transport and travel came last with 5 million dinars. The report also noted that 78.8% of the total transaction value was processed through digital payments, amounting to 891.2 million dinars, while 21.2% was conducted in cash, totaling 240.1 million dinars.
