Eyewitness Weather for Monday, June 9th: Rain Tuesday Morning, But Still Not A Washout!
Meteorologist Jordan Reed has your latest Eyewitness Weather forecast for this Monday, June 9th… Starting late tonight, expect stormy weather to move in! Thunderstorms will sweep slowly across the area, bringing heavy rain, strong winds, and even some hail. Because of how much rain could fall in a short time, the National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for a large part of the region, including Chenango and Madison counties, which will last through tomorrow morning. Flash flooding is a real concern, especially in spots that have already been soaked recently. After a brief lull during the day, storms are expected to fire up again this evening. Some could be severe, especially to the west, with damaging winds being the biggest threat. Hail is also possible, and there's even a slight chance of an isolated tornado. Flooding is a serious risk. Roads could become hazardous quickly, and rising water can be a lot more dangerous than it looks. Never try to drive through flooded roads or go around barricades—it only takes a small amount of water to sweep a car away. Floodwaters can also hide debris, downed power lines, or contaminants. Things should start calming down on Tuesday, with just a few leftover showers in the morning and better weather by the afternoon. Wednesday and most of Thursday look dry and pleasant, but more pop-up showers or storms could return later Thursday and into the weekend. Temperatures will stay mild, mostly in the 70s and low 80s during the day, with cooler nights in the 50s and low 60s. As the weekend approaches, expect it to feel a bit cooler again, with more clouds and some additional showers possible. Eyewitness Weather for Monday, June 2nd: Bright and Warm with Smoky Skies Tuesday!
Meteorologist Jordan Reed has your Eyewitness Weather forecast for this Monday, June 2nd… We're in for a stretch of warm, dry weather starting today and lasting through Wednesday, thanks to high pressure settling in! Skies will stay mostly clear, and temperatures are set to rise well above normal—something we haven't seen since mid-May. Nights will cool off nicely, but not enough for frost, since there's still some moisture hanging in the air. By Tuesday night and into Wednesday, it'll really start to feel like summer, with highs climbing into the upper 80s and possibly hitting 90 in spots like the Southern Tier. Even the overnight lows will be warmer, mostly staying in the 60s. This quiet, warm pattern will hold through Wednesday night, but by Thursday, a front coming in from the west will bring our next chance for showers and a few thunderstorms. That system might linger through Saturday, keeping things a bit unsettled. A dip in the jet stream could help clear things out by Sunday. Even with the shift in weather, temperatures will still be on the warmer side, only cooling off a little over the weekend. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved. Eyewitness Weather Forecast for Memorial Day: Looking Pleasant Returning Back to Work Tuesday!
Here's your latest Eyewitness Weather Forecast for Memorial Day, from Meteorologist Jordan Reed… Tonight, we'll cool down into the 40s! Some patchy fog might develop overnight, especially in valleys and near Lake Ontario. We're in for some great weather through Tuesday, with sunny skies and warm temperatures thanks to a strong area of high pressure. Expect highs in the low to mid-70s during the day. Things begin to shift late Tuesday night as a storm system moves in from the Midwest. Rain will return by Wednesday, and while Thursday might bring a short break from the wet weather, particularly in the western areas, more showers and even a few thunderstorms are expected later Thursday into Friday as a couple of cold fronts pass through. By the end of the week and into the weekend, it'll feel cooler than usual, though not as cold as it was last week. There's still a bit of uncertainty in how the weather systems will play out, but it looks like we'll be dealing with occasional showers through the weekend, especially away from the lakes. Some warmer weather could start to return by next Monday. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten, or redistributed.

Eyewitness Weather Forecast for Friday, May 23rd: Breezy, Cloudy, & Showery to Kick Off Memorial Day Weekend!
Here's your latest Eyewitness Weather Forecast for Friday, May 23rd, from Meteorologist Jordan Reed: A sluggish weather system is lingering over the Northeast, making things pretty gloomy with lots of clouds, drizzle, and light rain lasting into tonight! It's slowly starting to move east and will drift toward the Canadian Maritimes over the weekend. As that happens, today's steady rain will ease up, turning into more scattered showers on Saturday and becoming even less frequent by Sunday. This weekend, you can expect hit-or-miss showers, mostly during the afternoons when things warm up a bit. If you're south of Lake Ontario, there's even a small chance you could hear a rumble of thunder. Things start drying out Sunday night into Monday as high pressure begins to build. Memorial Day is looking like the best day of the bunch—mostly dry, a little warmer, and overall a solid choice for any outdoor plans. After that, though, another system could head in from the Midwest, possibly bringing more rain starting Tuesday night or Wednesday and lingering into the middle of the week. Eyewitness Weather Forecast for May 9 — Sun for the weekend, Showers return next week…
HERE IS YOUR EYEWITNESS WEATHER FORECAST FOR FRIDAY, MAY 9 FROM CHIEF METEOROLOGIST JORDAN REED: A storm system moving up the East Coast is bringing rain to parts of Central New York through tonight and into Saturday morning! Dry weather will slowly push east over the weekend, helping conditions improve across more of the state. Temperatures will begin to climb a bit each day, feeling more like summer by Monday. The central part of the state remains cloudy and wet into Saturday; the west already has clearer skies and just a few clouds. Looking ahead to Sunday and Monday, high pressure will keep things dry and start pulling in warmer, slightly more humid air from the south. But the calm weather won't last. By Tuesday, another system moves in with more rain, possibly sticking around through the rest of the week. Wednesday looks to be the rainiest day, and there's a chance of thunderstorms through Friday as a new front arrives. Temperatures will mostly stay in the 70s, but by late next week, parts of central New York could see highs topping 80 degrees. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved.
