Lorraine viewers fume 'she's appalling at interviewing!' as Kelly 'keeps interrupting' guest in 'more irritating than normal' chat
Lorraine viewers shared their frustration as they watched presenter Lorraine Kelly interview Jordan Stephens on Thursday's instalment of the ITV show. The 33 year old appeared on the programme to chat to the Scottish host about his new children's novel See For Yourself. Jordan - who is one half of hip-hop duo Rizzle Kicks with Harley Alexander-Sule - released the book today (Thursday 22 May) after joining forces with illustrator Beth Suzanna. But while some were watching the show at home, they took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to say the same thing - that Lorraine was interrupting her guest while he was speaking. One brutally said: 'She's more irritating than normal today; interrupting etc #Lorraine.' 'This woman is just APPALLING at interviewing! How on earth do her colleagues refer to her as a 'national treasure' I will never know. #lorraine @lorraine.' From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. 'Let him speak FFS!!!!' During the chat Lorraine confessed that she loves his second book and asked: 'It's about the ocean specifically isn't it?' Jordan explained: 'The idea came from, what we mentioned in the break, as a species I find we're fascinated with up and out. 'We've studied space, we have all these incredible discoveries outside of the earth. But appears as if we haven't been to the bottom of the ocean...' Lorraine said: 'Not as much. There is vast areas of the ocean that we don't actually know that much about... Finding new species all the time. Jordan replied: 'Right!' Lorraine continued: 'So your wee hero, he goes?' Jordan explains: 'Harry Arlo, it follows this boy who, he comes from a family of pilots, and he wants to be the first in his family to go down, rather than up, because he believes that is where the beauty lies. 'So he goes on a journey, on a mission. 'And also, this is just because I went snorkeling one time as well, a few year ago, and I could not believe what I was seeing under these. It blew my mind! 'There's probably thousands of kids books that explore the ocean because of how many incredible colours and shapes, the lower you go, the weirder it gets. I love it!' The singer went on to explained: 'The Missing Piece, our first book, we chose Sunny to be a black girl, we weren't bothered about the gender to be honest. 'The story was the story, well make Sunny a girl. 'When we were speaking to the libraries we were working with, that there weren't books about boys, well certainly black boys. not that it matters. 'We're in the world of children, that's the beauty of being a kid. It doesn't matter.' Conversation soon turned to his relationship with Little Mix star Jade Thirlwall, 32. The pair have been going strength to strength since May 2020. Lorraine said: 'It's a lovely relationship that you've got. And it just works, doesn't it? You know each other so well. You're from the same sort of, music, because music is a crazy world, right? Jordan said: 'Yes music is.' Lorraine added: 'She's got you doing music again hasn't she?' 'Jade was a big part in encouraging us to do more Rizzle Kicks. She genuinely loves our music. It's really sweet,' Jordan said. 'She's got her Rizzle Kicks merch. Bought the vinyl. She's on the album too.' Rizzle Kicks formed in 2008, but decided to go their separate ways in 2016. The pair reunited in 2024. Some of their best songs include Skip to the Good Bit, Mama Do The Hump, Lost Generation, When I Was A Youngster, Tell Her and Miss Cigarette.

British popstar hunts down his 'sextortion' blackmailer in shocking new show
Rizzle Kicks star Jordan Stephens is travelling to Nigeria to track down his 'sextortion' blackmailer in a new Channel 4 documentary. The popstar, 33, wants to confront the sex scammer 'face-to-face' for the hard-hitting show with the working title Hunting My Sextortion Scammer. For the purposes of the film, Jordan also gets himself 'sextorted', which is a form of online blackmail in which criminals threaten to release sexual images, videos, or personal information of victims unless they pay money or comply with other demands, according to the Metropolitan Police. It comes after the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF), which finds and helps remove abuse imagery online, said in its annual data and insights report published in April that under-18s are now facing a crisis of sexual exploitation, including sextortion, online. Hunting My Sextortion Scammer is part of Channel 4's Untold documentary strand, which is back with a new season that includes an investigation into dating apps, fronted by Love Island star Chloe Burrows. The 29-year-old will investigate why young people are ditching the dating apps and ask whether the key to romantic connections is meeting in person. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Chloe will road test a variety of real-world dates and question experts on concerns about dating apps, from gamification to artificial intelligence. Also announced as part the documentary strand are The Secrets Of TikTok Shop (working title) and Confessions Of A Prison Officer about police corruption (working title), a follow-up to The Secrets Of UK Prisons. Janine Thomas, commissioning editor for Untold, said: 'Untold continues to be a fearless voice for young audiences, tackling taboo topics, lifting the lid on hidden subcultures, and giving voice to those who are often unheard. 'This season of ambitious and exciting documentaries promises to inform, provoke and spark vital conversation.' This year, Jordan also revived Rizzle Kicks with bandmate Harley Alexander-Sule after nine years away from recording. They parted ways in 2015 after personal battles including substance abuse, having had a string of hits from records Roaring 20s, which came out in 2013 and debut album Stereo Typical in 2011. Reflecting on their time away from Rizzle Kicks, Harley previously told Metro: 'During that time we just got really close; we were always close but we became much closer friends, I guess. It wasn't like a specific conversation or a moment when we decided to make a new album, we just, I think we were just enjoying each other's company and then ended up in the studio again together. 'We said to ourselves that if the vibes weren't there and the music wasn't great, we weren't gonna force it and try and push it. Fortunately, we noticed straight away something good was happening.' Outside of music and documentary work, Jordan has also pursued acting, with his credits including E4 drama series Glue, Mae Martin's Netflix sitcom Feel Good and Rose Matafeo's BBC romcom Starstruck. Earlier this year, he revealed he turned down an offer to appear in a Star Wars show after being asked to cut off his dreadlocks. In 2016 he played Corporal Stordan Tonc in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which starred Felicity Jones, Diego Luna and Ben Mendelsohn. Jordan has said he was asked to reprise his role in the series Andor, a prequel to Rogue One, but he rejected the offer after being asked to cut his dreadlocks off. More Trending He said on TikTok: 'A week before the shoot, they were like, 'Can we see what you look like?'. I sent them a picture and they were like, 'Can you cut off your dreadlocks?',' he recalled. 'This is what they asked me to do, for one scene. Obviously that's ridiculous. That's like six years of hair growth, I'm not cutting it off for one scene.' Jordan has also appeared on non-scripted shows such as Drink History, Let's Play Darts, Virtually Famous and Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls. Noughties icons accidentally announce they're playing Glastonbury 2025
Rizzle Kicks have let slip they will be performing at Glastonbury Festival this year. The Mama Do the Hump duo – comprised of Jordan Stephens, and Harley Alexander-Sulé, both 33 – are yet to officially confirm their Worthy Farm appearance, but during a livestream the news was leaked straight from the horse's mouth. Jordan appeared on Arsenal's YouTube channel on Tuesday, and was forced to make the revelation. Radio host and life-long Arsenal fan Roman Kemp did an oopsies when he said outright to Jordan, 'You're playing Glastonbury this year,' to which the singer interrupted and said: 'I haven't actually announced that yet…' Awkward. Nice one Roman. Fans of the Down With The Trumpets hitmakers have a few options this year if they want to see the duo live, as they're heading to Brighton in May, London's Somerset House and Manchester's Castlefield Bowl in July, as well as The Cotswolds' Big Feastival in August. But now it seems on the last weekend in June the pair will be heading to Glastonbury alongside confirmed headliners including The 1975, Neil Young, and Olivia Rodrigo. While the headliner line-up is always contentious, there's no doubt the 2025 festival is jam-packed with millennial nostalgic favourites like Rizzle Kicks. Franz Ferdinand, the Scissor Sisters, Kaiser Chiefs, The Script, The Libertines, Fatboy Slim and The Maccabees will all be taking to the stage at various points throughout the weekend, keeping noughties lovers satisfied. The biggest artists of 2025 are also in abundance with Charli XCX, Doechii, and newcomer Lola Young also billed throughout the weekend. Tickets are now officially sold out with the resale over and out for another year, with the only options still available if you want to attend being volunteering or winning competitions. While Emily Eavis has dropped line up posters for Woodsies stage, Acoustic stage, West Holts stage, Shangri-La and Silver Hayes, many more acts are still to be announced, with over 2,000 artists descending on the Somerset festival. Fans are also wondering who this year's secret set will be, after the Woodsies Stage was flooded with fans who discovered last minute that Kasabian would be performing there last year. Contenders this year seem to be HAIM, The Cure, Mumford and Sons, Sam Fender and Green Day, though we won't find out for sure until the day of. Reflecting on their career and talking their comeback in an interview with Metro in February, Jordan explained: Jordan explained: 'When we were at our peak around 2012, it was an amazing time, but there was a whole different perception of 'coolness,' which I find fascinating. 'There was this way you were supposed to be and positioning was like a real thing, which I think is kind of blended nowadays and there was this – I felt there was, anyway – a friction with the fact that we were delivering kind of…joyfulness.' He explained how 'self-professed hip hop or musical purists' didn't think they were cool or truly inkeeping with the spirit of hip hop. But now in 2025, after a pandemic, Braxit and a shifting global atmosphere, Rizzle Kicks are the tonic we need, he said. 'I think it's actually cooler now than it was before to be joyful, on the basis that it's not as readily available anymore. It's almost like a scarcity, so our currency's gone up, our currency of joy is up,' he said. Rizzle Kicks are not the only stars to prematurely announce their Glastonbury appearance, as Example accidentally self-confirmed earlier this month. More Trending Example – real name Elliot Gleave – shared a list of upcoming shows on his Instagram page, including one pixelated date on June 27, which just so happens to coincide with Glastonbury. The Kickstarts hitmaker, 42, shared a list of milestones achieved going into 2025, including his first show in Japan and first Reading and Leeds performance. He also pixelated somewhere that he would be performing for the ninth time, with fans pointing out he has performed at Glastonbury eight times previously. Got a story? Jordan Stephens ‘too sober' to be a hero for zero alcohol
Jordan Stephens, the hip-hop musician, says he was dropped from a campaign to promote a zero per cent beer brand because he talked too much about his sobriety. Stephens, 33, half of the duo Rizzle Kicks, was in talks to advertise a no-alcohol version of the lager Madri Excepcional when the firm pulled out. He posted on his Instagram account: 'Just lost a job with a 0% alcohol brand for being too open about my sobriety.' Stephens, who grew up in Neasden, northwest London, and Brighton, has advocated sobriety since his memoir Avoidance, Drugs, Heartbreak and Dogs, released last year, told of his struggles with addiction. The issue had its roots in his attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and ADHD is also the abbreviation for
