The last time we heard from star , he was sitting in prison begging for a pardon from the President. He also fell in love while a 33-year-old Mexican man while behind bars. They got engaged and were planning their happily ever after. Now, a health update from Joe is putting their future in jeopardy. Joe spoke to Radar Online from behind bars and unloaded a ton of life updates. The 62-year-old is still serving a 21-year prison sentence for cooking up a murder-for-hire plot. While behind bars, he complained about his deteriorating health and eventually received a prostate cancer diagnosis. Last year, he said it went into remission after a year of chemotherapy and radiation treatments. However, he just received devastating news from his doctors. It's back, and it spread. 'The prostate cancer is back out of remission, the lung cancer is there now,' he told the outlet, noting that he had been throwing up and not feeling well. Although Joe previously predicted that he would die in 2020, he shared that his doctors feel confident that he can live with his cancer for many years to come. He doesn't plan on seeking treatment and wants to ride things out until he can get released from prison, whether that's through a presidential pardon or some other miracle. 'All of the doctors on the outside I've talked to said I can make it another 10 or 15 years without it killing me,' Joe explained. 'And I really want to wait until I get out and get some real doctors with some class act medical care and take care of it then.' Meanwhile, Joe tied the knot with his prison lover, Jorge Marquez. When they both get out of prison, they hope to move to Cozumel, Mexico. However, Joe pointed out that Jorge's complicated immigration status might result in deportation. He has a hearing scheduled soon, and Joe is concerned. 'He doesn't want to go back,' Joe told the outlet. 'Not only because of me, but because it's so dangerous there. He's been through so much sh*t already.' Joe's fighting cancer, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and a 21-year prison sentence. He has a long road ahead, and all of this is definitely Carole Baskin's fault. Tiger King is streaming on Netflix. TELL US – WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON JOE EXOTIC'S LATEST STRUGGLES? Joe Exotic fears new husband will be kidnapped by cartel over big misunderstanding
Joe Exotic has expressed concern over the safety of his new husband, worried he might be targeted for a kidnapping. The 62-year-old Tiger King star, currently serving time for a murder-for-hire conviction involving Carole Baskin, fears his spouse Jorge Marquez might fall into danger due to misconceptions about his wealth. In a candid chat with 2DayFM's 'Jimmy + Nath Show', he admitted: "He is going to be deported. I don't want anything happening to him at the border, like the cartel kidnapping him because everybody thinks I am a millionaire." While Joe was tight-lipped about certain aspects of his marital life, when probed about whether they'd consummated their union he firmly stated: "No... Absolutely not." Prior to marrying, Joe voiced his hope that the marriage could protect his partner from deportation to Mexico and even expressed his readiness to move to South America if needed. Speaking to Joe revealed their deep commitment: "Whether it helps his immigration status or not, we love each other enough to get married. We even got tattooed matching wedding bands already on." He also discussed the legal strategic benefits: "What it would do is, it would assure him, and it would show the court, that he has a little bit of financial stability to stay in America." Optimistically concluding, Joe said: "It's gonna look better for his asylum case to be married. We're just hoping that the prison will allow us to get married and stay in the same prison." He expressed his frustration to the media, stating that if he can't secure assistance from the government to "keep him here," then "I guess I'm going to Mexico." After announcing their engagement in October last year, Joe couldn't help but gush about his fiancé, calling him "so amazing" and sharing regrets that he didn't "meet him long" earlier. Joe excitedly posted on his social media account, sharing with followers: "Meet Jorge Marquez he is 33. He is so amazing and is from Mexico." Embarking on a new journey, Joe explained: "Now, the quest of getting married in prison and getting him asylum or we be leaving America when we both get out. Either way, I wish I would have met him long ago." The one-time Tiger King sensation then verified the news of his engagement with Entertainment Weekly. During a heartfelt phone call from behind bars, he disclosed: "We filed our official papers for the marriage license from the prison yesterday, so we're just waiting for an approval. "He has picked out December 12 as the date we're hoping to get this approved by." Despite his tumultuous romantic history – finalising his divorce with Dillon Passage in January 2023 and enduring the tragic loss of Travis Maldonado in 2017 – the former exotic animal park operator remained optimistic that his relationship with Jorge would fare better. In an emotional statement, he confessed: "We love each other very much, spend every minute of the day together." Reflecting on his life's ups and downs, Joe admitted: "I've been through some s*** in my days." Putting past heartache and betrayal behind him, Joe declared: "I buried two husbands, the third one ran off with 2.6 million bucks from Netflix and left my a** here, but Jorge is a very amazing young man."

Joe Exotic fears husband could be kidnapped
Joe Exotic fears his husband will be kidnapped. The 62-year-old reality star - who is currently serving a 21-year prison sentence after being found guilty of a murder-for-hire plot against rival Carole Baskin - revealed last week he had tied the knot with Jorge Marquez behind bars but he's concerned about saying too much about his new spouse as he doesn't want to make him a high-profile target in his native Mexico. Speaking to 2DayFM's 'Jimmy + Nath Show', he said: "He is going to be deported. I don't want anything happening to him at the border, like the cartel kidnapping him because everybody thinks I am a millionaire." However, the 'Tiger King' star was willing to answer when asked if he and Jorge have consumated their marriage yet. He said: "No... Absolutely not". Before getting married, Joe shared his hopes that making their union official would give his partner a reason not to be deported back to his home country, and that he was ready to follow him to South America if need be. He told "Whether it helps his immigration status or not, we love each other enough to get married. We even got tattooed matching wedding bands already on. "What it would do is, it would assure him, and it would show the court, that he has a little bit of financial stability to stay in America." It's gonna look better for his asylum case to be married.
