8 people displaced in Windsor house fire
Social Sharing Windsor fire officials say eight people were displaced by a house fire on the east side of the city. It happened around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, at a home on Jos. St. Louis Avenue, south of Tecumseh Road. Investigators say no one was injured and that the fire started in a bedroom. The cause is still unknown. Damage to the house is estimated to be around $350,000.

Damage seen at a home on Jos St. Louis Avenue in Windsor, Ont. (Source: Windsor Fire and Rescue Services/X) A house sustained $350,000 in damages in an overnight fire. The incident took place in the 2500 block of Jos St. Louis Avenue. Windsor Fire and Rescue Services said the blaze originated in a bedroom. Fire crews were called just after 10:30 p.m. Around 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Windsor police notified the public via social media to avoid the area. No injuries were sustained, however eight people have been displaced. The investigation into what caused the fire is ongoing.

Overnight fire investigation in Windsor
Windsor police and fire were on scene of a blaze overnight in the city. The incident took place in the 2500 block of Jos St. Louis Avenue. Few details were offered, however at around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, police asked the public to steer clear of the area until further notice. Details will be provided as police deem necessary.
