Martí wins Sakhir Sprint victory
Spanish driver Josep María Martí won the Formula 2 sprint race, held as part of the support events for the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2025, at Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), 'the Home of Motorsport in the Middle East'.
Martí took first place after an exciting 23-lap race, finishing in 46 minutes and 24.663 seconds, 0.922 seconds ahead of Dutch driver Richard Verschoor of MP Motorsport. Paraguayan driver Joshua Duerksen of AIX Racing came third, 1.537 seconds behind the winner.
Formula 2 action continues on Sunday with the Feature Race, consisting of 32 laps, scheduled to start at 2:25 p.m. at BIC.
