The King also reiterated Jordan's commitment to supporting Syria's efforts in maintaining its security and stability and ensuring the rights of all its societal components. For his part, Patriarch Absi praised the Hashemite custodianship of Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem and thanked Jordan for standing alongside the Palestinian people. He also commended His Majesty's efforts to protect the presence of Eastern Christians and defend their holy sites and churches. The Patriarch highlighted that Jordan, under its Hashemite leadership, is a model of coexistence and respect for Christian communities, pointing to His Majesty's role in fostering interfaith dialogue and understanding through initiatives like the Amman Message, the "Common Word" initiative, and the World Interfaith Harmony Week.
