Wetherbee fans nine batters in Explorers' 4-3 win at Kansas City
KANSAS CITY, KS. (KCAU) – Backed by a three-run first inning, Sioux City Explorers starting pitcher Jared Wetherbee struck out nine batters in the team's 4-3 win at Kansas City.
Eight of the nine batters in the X's starting lineup notched a hit while Joshua Day plated a pair of RBI.
Sioux City's bullpen orchestrated three innings of shutout baseball, capped off withthe save from Felix Cepeda. The Explorers return home to begin its three-game series with Cleburne on Friday.
