MAFS Australia couples from all 12 seasons who are now legally married - the amount might surprise you
Over 100 couples have starred on the Australian version of Married at first Sight but how many of them are actually married in real life? Since its debut on the Nine Network in May 2015, Married At First Sight Australia has matched over 100 couples. While a handful of those relationship have gone the distance, fans might be surprised to hear that only three couples have taken the leap to become legally married. Although the show features wedding-style ceremonies where participants meet and exchanged vows at the alter, there unions aren't legal - as under the Australian Marriage Act, couples must give at least one month and one day's notice before tying the knot. As this is impossible under the show's surprise matchmaking format the ceremonies on MAFS are symbolic. Instead, the couples declare their commitment to one another in front of their close friends and family, so once filming ends they are only considered boyfriend and girlfriend. While several pairs have stayed together after the cameras stopped rolling, only a select few have chosen to make their relationship official in the eyes of the law. With just three couples legally tying the knot - to date - after leaving the show. So who are the MAFSAU couple's that have tied the knot in real life... Cameron Merchant and Jules Robinson Cameron Merchant and Jules Robinson were the power couple of season six, and wasted no time tying the knot after appearing on the show back in 2019. Cameron got down on one knee during the season finale and the pair got married quickly after in November 2019, at a gorgeous ceremony in Sydney. Following their engagement Jules wrote on Instagram: "The moment you fall more in love than you thought you could fall and every little part of you says YES! I have nothing but love for this man." Fast forward six years and the couple have welcomed two sons together, their first Oliver was born in 2020 and they welcomed baby Carter into the world in July of last year. Melissa Rawson and Bryce Ruthven Melissa Rawson and Bryce Ruthven were one of the most talked about couples on season eight, with viewers failing to see the pair last outside the show. At the time there was a rumour that radio host Bryce had a secret girlfriend during filming, however Melissa spoke to the woman and said she had no concerns. Despite everyones doubts, the pair stuck it out and proved everyone wrong, going on to make their marriage official in the eyes of the law. The pair went on to had twins, two little boys Levi and Tate back in 2021 and were engaged soon after. They officially tied the knot in February of 2023 in an adorable beach ceremony in Sorrento, Victoria. Johnny Balbuziente and Kelly Knight In 2021, intruder couple, Johnny Balbuziente and Kelly Knight joined the experiment and it was love at first sight for the couple who were clearly smitten upon meeting on their wedding day on the show. Although they went on to have their fair share of ups and downs, but proved they were stronger than that as Jonny proposed to Kelly on their second anniversary. The pair got married in an intimate ceremony back in January of 2023. They shared photos from their big day, with the caption: "[ring emoji] MR & MRS BALBUZIENTE [ring emoji] 05.01.23" Kelly and Johnny have went on to welcome their first child, a daughter named Chloe Rossi Balbuziente, in July 2024.

The 53-year-old council worker, who starred on the most recent season of the Channel Nine dating show, looked smart in a Louis Vuitton shirt. It featured dappled blue tones over a white based as well as the brand's luxury logo throughout. He added a pair of trousers with a zip detail on the leg and a pair of designer sneakers as well as a chunky watch. Also turning heads was another MAFS star, Jules Robinson, who stunned in a fitted pink gown that showed off her figure. The dress including a draped detail on the shoulder, and she added a dazzling silver purse which matched her strappy heels. Married At First Sight stars Evelyn Ellis and Duncan James made a date night of it, with Evelyn looking gorgeous in a white mini dress and pointed heels. Meanwhile Duncan went for a cream suit along with a matching shirt and a pair of trainers. Sylvia Jeffreys was also turning heads, opting for a sleek black ensemble with a pair of sandal heels. It comes after Tony was admitted to Wollongong Hospital last month morning after experiencing ongoing chest pains. Tony underwent emergency surgery later that day, with doctors performing a coronary artery bypass graft to treat the blockage and save his life. Speaking exclusively to Daily Mail Australia from his hospital bed, Tony said he was now in a stable condition and feeling much better after the terrifying ordeal. 'Luckily I went straight to the doctors,' he explained. 'During the week I wasn't feeling well. It has been happening for a long time - I was just feeling not right, like something was on my chest every now and then, giving me heartburn and stuff like that.' Tony said the persistent symptoms eventually became too much to ignore. 'I felt a bit off too. That's why I thought, you know what, I'm going to take it easy this week because it was just too much,' he said. Reflecting on the health scare, Tony admitted it was 'pretty scary' and revealed there could be a family link to heart issues. 'My mum passed away from an aneurysm,' he said, adding that smoking, stress and partying may have contributed to his health decline. 'I was smoking, the cigarettes, the stress, being on the boat, partying - just too many things. It caught up with me, mate,' he admitted. Tony said he now plans to slow down and prioritise his health moving forward. 'I just need some time without the partying,' he added. Despite undergoing major surgery, Tony appeared in good spirits when his MAFS co-star Ryan Donnelly paid him a surprise visit at hospital. Ryan shared a heartwarming photo to Instagram showing him leaning over Tony's hospital bed, the pair laughing and clutching each other's hands. Tony wore a white T-shirt and grey shorts as he lay comfortably in bed, flashing a big smile, while Ryan sported a black short-sleeve shirt and beige pants as he leaned in for a hug. 'Tony Time had a brief intermission dropped by to see my best mate and he was literally on the phone with Adrian [Araouzou]. Can't keep a good Macedonian man down, he'll be back to his best in no time!' Ryan captioned the post. Tony was paired with DJ and wedding MC Morena Farina, 57, on this year's season of Married At First Sight, where he quickly became a fan favourite thanks to his laid-back attitude and old-school charm.

Married At First Sight's Jules Robinson reveals how she lost $200,000 in seconds - after raffling off the wedding dress she wore on the show
Jules Robinson has opened up about the heart-stopping moment she lost her chance at taking home $200,000 on Channel Nine's new hit trivia show The Floor. The mother-of-two was confident heading into her duel, taking on contestant Sheena in a category close to her heart – babies. With two young sons at home – Oliver, 4, and Carter, nine months – Jules felt sure she had the upper hand. But in a brutal twist, the reality star was knocked out of the competition in just 45 seconds during a nail-biting round. In an interview with 9Now, Jules admitted she hadn't expected the pressure to get to her the way it did. 'It is really hard. You think it's going to be really easy and then your mind it just….' Jules confessed. 'It was a very close game. I was so, so close to winning. 'But what can I say I do have baby brain, I've got a fresh baby. My mind just went blank, it went absolutely blank.' Despite her confidence, Jules' hopes of taking out the grand prize slipped away in mere moments, proving that even the most prepared contestants can crumble under pressure. It comes just weeks after Jules took to social media to reveal she was prepared to part with the wedding dress she wore to marry Cameron Merchant on MAFS. Sharing a video to Instagram, the red-haired beauty said she had decided to put up her cherished outfit as the first prize for a fundraiser in support of the Northern Beaches Women's Shelter which offers assistance to homeless women. 'I'm giving away my Married at First Sight dress all for a very good cause,' Jules told followers in the clip. She used the video to show off the features of the dress which is being raffled for $10 a ticket. 'I have had this dress all restored and made perfectly brand new again for some lucky woman to wear,' she said. Jules went on to say the lucky winner could use the outfit as a 'ball gown'. 'I would wear this around the house if I could fit into it,' she joked, before adding that the Northern Beaches Women's Shelter, 'do amazing work in the community'. Jules recently revealed her thoughts about the 2025 season of the reality experiment. Speaking to Stellar, she said that the current crop of MAFS stars may have been trying a little too hard to reach the dramatic heights. 'When we were on it, what you saw was what you got, as in what happened then aired and there wasn't really any contrived episodes of people doing things for, I guess, attention or for reaction,' she said. While admitting that she has been keeping up with the drama that has kept millions of Australians glued to their screens, Jules added that it had been, at times, difficult. 'This new season has been a bit hard to watch, I think – some parts of it,' Jules admitted. 'I can't put my finger on it. You keep watching but you're like, 'What am I actually watching?' 'At least there's a bit of love this year, a couple of relationships.' Jules also revealed that the couple may be looking to expand their brood in the near future, admitting that she had been 'manifesting a little girl.' 'So next year, we decided we will try again,' she said. 'I think I am immortal, don't I? I go into everything with positivity - that's just how I see it. So, next year is the year.' After almost six years together, Jules and Cam recently opened up about their experience on MAFS and revealed how it can leave participants a 'shell' of a person. 'The reason why we feel it did go so well for us was because we did so much work on ourselves as individuals prior. So the universe was like, "Okay, now you're ready for it"' Cam told Yahoo Lifestyle. Jules added: 'We're forever grateful for our experience. 'It was tough, we both broke into tears in there, but we're really grateful for such a fun, amazing experience that led to all this.' The 2019 Married At First Sight lovebirds have gone to strength-to-strength since the show aired, welcoming Oliver in October 2020. They then added to their family, in July last year, with the arrival of their second son Carter James.
