We can also clearly see a 3.5mm audio jack on the bottom frame alongside the Type-C port. Beyond the official renders, the Blaze Dragon has apparently also leaked in some live photos. Thankfully, in a different color, allowing us to see the cool 'rainbow' light reflection effect on the camera island. There are no shots of the phone's front side, likely by design. Samsung Brings Android 16 To Galaxy Z Fold 7 In Record Time
The new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 goes on sale on July 25. Out of the box, it will run Android 16, and it will be the first new phone to do so. Here's why that matters. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 The nature of Android software is that after Google releases it, each smartphone manufacturer has to optimize it for their hardware. This means that the Pixel phones, made by Google, are always the first. Others take weeks or more likely months to catch up. That's not going to be the case with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. Samsung was previously a little slow with its releases. One UI 7, based on Android 15, only arrived on the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra in January this year, though it had been available for months on the Google Pixel, for instance. Samsung is still rolling out One UI 7 to some of its phones even now. However, the move to One UI 8, which is based on Android 16, has already begun. The Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 will both have One UI 8 pre-installed, making it the first new hardware to launch with Android 16. The latest Android software will bring new features as well as the latest security updates and bug fixes from Google, so it's great to have them on your phone as soon as possible. But integrating vanilla Android with a comprehensive overlay, like the one Samsung provides, takes time. So, the swift arrival of One UI 8 is also a striking change. Samsung has also said that there will be multiple data security and privacy enhancements as part of One UI 8, with the introduction of Knox Enhanced Encrypted Protection (KEEP), which will add further security. Samsung is taking this speedy release seriously: it's also coming to the latest Samsung Galaxy watches, which will also boast a version of One UI 8 out of the box. Samsung says it's the very first smartwatch to offer a feature called Ask Google Gemini, which allows you to talk to the watch and interact with Gemini in a natural and conversational manner.

Samsung cuts price of its foldables with the Z Flip 7 FE
Samsung's latest clamshell-style foldable is officially here, and it brought a new, more affordable sibling to the party. The Z Flip 7 was announced at Samsung's summer Unpacked event this morning, and it's been updated with an edge-to-edge cover screen. Alongside it, Samsung is also launching a new model: the Z Flip 7 FE, which maintains the older folder-shaped cutout for the cover screen. The Z Flip 7 FE is the first foldable that Samsung has introduced in its 'Fan Edition' line, which provides budget-friendly alternatives to the company's flagship Galaxy phones. At $899, it's not quite affordable enough to compete with Motorola's Razr, which starts at $699, but it's a lot cheaper than the standard $1,099 Z Flip 7 model. Both versions are available for preorder in the US starting today, with general availability beginning July 25th. The Z Flip 7 comes in a few color options, including black, blue, red, and green, while its FE counterpart is only available in a choice of black or white. The new Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE closely mirrors the Z Flip 6. It has a similar 3.4-inch cover screen with a 720p resolution and a 6.7-inch internal display, a 10-megapixel front camera, a 12-megapixel ultrawide, and a 50-megapixel wide-angle camera. It also has a 4,000mAh battery and a choice between 256GB or 512GB of storage. Some aspects are a downgrade, however — while the Z Flip 6 has 12GB of RAM, the Z Flip 7 FE is only offered with 8GB, and it sports a slower Exynos 2400 chipset instead of the 4 nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The Z Flip 7 has a few other upgrades by comparison. It features an almost borderless 4.1-inch AMOLED cover display that wraps around the camera, alongside a slimmer hinge design than its predecessor. The 6.9-inch internal display is a smidge bigger, and both the internal screen and cover display support a 120Hz refresh rate and 2,600 nits of peak brightness, while the previous-gen cover screen capped out at 60Hz and 1,600 nits. The Z Flip 7 also supports Samsung's DeX desktop mode and comes with a larger 4,300mAh battery despite being slightly slimmer overall, measuring 13.7mm thick when folded. Most other features remain consistent with the previous generation.

Trailer for Dark Indie Comedy ET TU Starring Lou Diamond Phillips and Malcolm McDowell — GeekTyrant
A new trailer has been released for the indie dark comedy Et Tu , the big screen debut from director Max Tzannes, who also wrote the screenplay. The film stars Lou Diamond Phillips ( La Bamba , Stand and Deliver ), as well as Malcolm McDowell, Antwone Barnes, Isabella Blake-Thomas, Rachel Alig, and Brennan Keel Cook. The synopsis reads: 'Brent (Lou Diamond Phillips) is not a happy director. For weeks, he's had to watch an awful play - his awful play. Adding insult to injury, he's convinced his wife is having an affair with his idiot leading man. 'Fortunately for Brent, the theater's Janitor has been mopping the stage long enough to know a dark secret that may help rid him of his troubles. That is, so long as he's willing to get some blood on his hands.' This looks like a fun original flick, and it's cool to see Lou Diamond Phillips when he pops up in projects. He's a great actor, and this looks like a good role for him. Check out the trailer below, and watch Et Tu in select US theaters on July 25th.
